For what it's worth, the clarity and accuracy of your posts has skyrocketed since the whole thing started. The progress, from where I sit, is noticeable and significant.

I would agree with this. Content aside, the frequency of typos and incorrect words is way down. Heck, most of the posts are easier to read than LM's old posts. 8-)

I think a big part of that is that I relearning how to use spellchecker a bit better but it doesn't always pick tjings up. And I don't always remember to use ot.
But in general an outside viewpoint helps because I probably wouldn't notice a change if it's a slow increase.
So good thing is that other people see an provident. Bad thing is that memory is still wonky. Still forgetting things a lot. Couple weeks ago I got distracted and walked away from something I was cooking. Didn't cause a fire but it was very well down. Good thing it was corn beef hash because that's how I like it.
I now force myself to focus on cooking only if that's what I'm doing and so far it's working.
Still any progress is good progress so thanks to everyone who os seeing it.

gilraen did that a couple weeks ago too. It was a pan with sugar water in it. It had almost completely burned away. So don't feel bad about that.

Because it's a lot cheaper than buying a mix for the hummingbirds. You heat it up to make sure the sugar fully dissolves. Then let it cool. But you do want to keep an eye on it while it's heating.

I melted a sauce pan boiling water once, and shattered a ceramic teapot by boiling it dry. In both cases it was because I let myself get distracted after I started them. It's a thing that normal people do on occasion.

My best friend always sets a timer. Because he knows that he has a tendency to forget. Something that I probably should be better about.

Also... sorry for derailing. Or derailing the derail?

Most, but it's bad for the economy when it's nearly impossible for anyone to be a first-time home buyer. You want the rising generation of young adults to be able to build equity.

Trump rally in NE ends in disaster. Hundreds (thousands?) of people stranded as only one bus was available to take people back from rally location. Of course it’s some sort of liberal conspiracy, not Trump campaign incompetency:

Well, sort of. The first set of tweets is about the Trump rally in Coachella this weekend. The final one is a reminder that–and I know you will find this shocking–the exact same thing happened at his Nebraska rally. Four years ago. At least the Nebraska folks only had to walk one mile to the parking lot instead of five.

The tone of this last phase of the election.

CNN:
Harris calls for unity and a coming together of all Americans.

Fox:
Harris calls for the death of all white men when she steals the election.

Also CNN: Article on Trump's extreme new rhetoric, which would "transform the US" into a fascist dictatorship. The headline for that article is how that is causing Harris to "struggle to regain momentum." :grund:

Despite the polls, the mainstream media is currently doing everything in their power to dampen Harris' prospects and keep this race close.

Trump is saying crazy things because his internal polling makes him worried. And he needs to stay in the headlines to drive MAGA to the polls for revenge.

I really hope this hits the major news outlets today. If you can watch the video, it's unhinged. I don't understand how he's even remotely viable. Remember when we decided yelling loudly was disqualifying?
Former President Donald Trump cut off answering any more questions abruptly at his town hall event in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Monday — saying, "Let's not do any more questions. Let's just listen to music. Who the hell wants to hear questions?"

Trump then proceeded to spend several minutes doing nothing, while several different songs blared out over the crowd, taking no further questions and seemingly leaving even his own surrogate, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) confused and unsure what to do.

...

"After multiple people passed out at this Trump Townhall, instead of taking questions, he just played the following songs while standing and swaying on stage: Ave Maria; Time To Say Goodbye; It's A Man's World; YMCA; Hallelujah; Nothing Compares 2 U; An American Trilogy; Rich Men North of Richmond; November Rain; Memory from Cats," she posted to X.

Totally normal:
Donald Trump abruptly canceled an interview on his economic plans with business channel CNBC, one of its anchors announced Tuesday. Joe Kernen, the conservative-leaning host of its flagship show Squawk Box, revealed the move during an interview with Charles Phillips, the Oracle chairman who is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris, saying “Trump canceled.” The interview had not previously been announced by either side. Sources told the Daily Beast that the network had invited Trump to an in-studio sit-down on Squawk Box to take place later this week and that his campaign had initially accepted.

Just saw an interview supposedly on economics that Trump had on stage at some event with a host from Bloomberg. It was a disaster. Trump was all over the place, ignoring some questions, spouting all kinds of economic nonsense, totally unable to articulate, much less defend his proposed economic policies. There’s no way anyone could watch that video and think this guy is qualified to be president. Of course we’ve known this but this was downright embarrassing.

I'm not sure this is a "disaster" as much as it's downright frightening. I'd like to think if any of us had family members rambling incoherently like this we'd get a medical evaluation, not suggest they would make a good PotUS.
