My first instinct on a necklace found next to a trashcan is probably someone dumping stuff from a robbery that they thought didn't have any value. I've seen a lot of empty purses, bags, cheap jewelry, credit cards etc next to/on trashcans.

They probably misjudged the value or didn't think it was worth the trouble.

I usually ignore the stuff unless there a driver's license, which I drop in a mailbox. I once found the FCU from a Sig P320 at a bus stop under a bridge by my house. Turned that one in to the police.

You know I am making progress. Since I accepted employment my life has taken off like a rocket. I love being employed. I love everything about working. My co workers and boss actually referred to me as "Relentlessly positive". I spoke to dad about moms death, It was a REALLY good, life affirming conversation, but at the end of it, I was really just emotionally worn out. And I had no call to say and post what I did. I was just.... so off kilter.

FWIW, for years I gave heartfelt advice. There were posts I spent hours on - researching and typing. A few years ago you threw that in everybody's face, and a lot of us came to the conclusion that you were doing it for attention. Quite a few people don't even poke their heads into your posts anymore because of that period. If you're changing, I wish you all the best, but for many of us, it'll be a while before you get the benefit of the doubt. Until then, your methods and motivations are going to be questioned from time to time.

My first wife won't speak to me. I'm not even remotely the same person that I was the last time I had a conversation with her ~27 years ago. But the problems I had then were real, the impact on her and my first son were real, and she has good reason to not want to interact with me. Maybe in a few years that will change. Maybe it won't. But I don't blame her. It's what I earned, and to get a different reaction, I'd have to earn that, too.
What doesn't kill me makes me stranger.

First day of work. Trying to keep from getting excited but they REALLY like me and I overheard my supervisor talking with the job coach they assigned me that they are considering me for other jobs with more responsibility based on how I handled myself on my first real day of work for them. That said its SUPER early yet.

Also. I pulled a U'ie in an abandoned parking lot. I parked for a second to look at my phone and something smashed practically into the pavement caught my eye. Turned out it was an earring. 10k Wound up paying for half of another less expensive coin I wanted.

No the earring was 10k gold. Sorry. Stupid sentence structure. It netted me a princely sum of 34 dollars.

Just the little things to stay positive about. I know that things wont stay this good forever. Its nice to concentrate on the positive though. If I keep a smiling face on it tends to be infectious. I know a lot of the patients and staff I interacted with today just lit up when I turn on the charm.

Please.
There is something I can’t put into words. I’ll try. But I’ll blow it.
I worry about:
How you are so quick to share and celebrate random moments of random luck. The little things that help you stay positive shouldn’t be random necklaces and earrings you keep finding.

How you are so quick to share things like “everyone likes me so much” and “I’m all ready being talked about for better work/promotion”, etc.

I believe the 7-11 job started with nearly identical “omg they think I am so awesome!” posts.

This is what manic behavior is, and it’s the other side of the manic/depressive coin you’ve got in your pocket. Recognize it. It’s ok to be positive, heck it’s great to be positive, but there are times I feel like it may be more healthy to curb your enthusiasm. Don’t put it down, just keep it in check vs the depressive thoughts.

Just my two cents.

And I’ll reiterate in fear that I will be misread, I’m happy that your outlook is positive and that it is shared with those you speak of. That’s great. Don’t let what I said stop -that-

I also have noticed a trend in your posts that make me pause and think about your well being. But I'm not going to make any suggestions regarding your mental health beyond saying I think you should talk to a therapist. I've done it in the past, as have many people I know. It's a fantastic way to learn about yourself and to find out what you need to be a happier, healthier person.

Maybe I'll find a treasure chest in the parking lot at lunch. Fingers crossed.

That's why my mind immediately goes to vampires. When you also consider our telescopes are largely mirror-based, we can't rule out that we're dealing with space vampires as we'd never see them coming.
