Agreed, it's like they go out of their way to find the few bad skittles in the bunch. But it's still hilarious.

Nice. 5 greek creds for incorporating a member of the Fantastic Four into an R&P post.

Yeah, they're amusing, but 20% of the people in any group* are idiots. Can you find a higher percentage at a Trump rally than at a Clinton rally? Maybe, maybe not.
*Leaving aside such groups as Nobel laureates, MENSA members, OO participants, etc.

But if we do that how will we be sure there aren't any sour green apples hiding out in there? The sour green apples are refusing to become sweet and they are getting their sourness all over the other skittles.

Apparently you just give them a ideological test beforehand, which will identify the sour apples.
Plus, you might consider a wall around the bowl. Just in case some skittles start eyeing women covetously.

BREAKING: Donald Trump facing multiple fraud charges.
But of course he has been for some time now, out of Trump university. That post makes a good point, which is how insane it is that it hasn't been a big issue in the campaign that
the Republican nominee is currently facing multiple fraud charges, and has a trial date on said fraud charges.
I feel like Hillary really needs to start hammering this pretty simple point home.

I think we've all learned at this point that fraud and a general pattern of dishonesty as a private citizen isn't a big deal, and that we should all trust Trump to be on the up-and-up when he's president.

But Hillary started the whole fraud thing. Why else would people call her crooked? Trump is ending the conspiracy. Let's stick with the issues like Hillary's email server and Benghazi!!!

Trump has a bold plan to fix the inner cities and win over tbe black vote.
How about a little stop and frisk everywhere?. No matter it has been found to be unconstitutional already. He will just make sure we get the right judges in place.

Funny get out and vote/anti trump ad. It's worth watching to the end.

It was made by Joss Whedon if that helps decide whether to watch it or avoid it.

Oh, she's definitely no dummy. I really was describing her ability when I said she was a master. It just miffs me when she can turn funneling money from a charity to pay legal fines into, Oh Trump just wanted to build the biggest flagpole ever but the county wouldn't let him.

That girl with the striped shirt (whom I can't identify) sounded like she was going to cry every time she appeared.
Oh is that the girl from those teen novel movies? Alliance/Defiance/??? She has a weird name. Shaylee or something.

Also, I think one of the not-as-famous people was from Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

Liberal Hollywood Shaking In Their Boots, Actors Assemble In New Ad To Attack Trump
September 21, 2016
Hollywood director Joss Whedon has assembled a large group of uber liberal actors and actresses to preach anti-Trump hatred in a new TV ad. The ad, titled “Important” from director of “The Avengers” tries to persuade Americans to listen to celebrities opinions instead of facts and reason when deciding who to vote for in the upcoming election.
The preachy, “I’m famous so my opinion matters” ad for Whedon’s Save the Day PAC features Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, Stanley Tucci, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Martin Sheen and a number of other ego-centric Hollywood types. In the ad the launch veiled attacks at Trump while ignoring Hillary’s disturbing scandals and record.
In the ad, the actors even allude to the idea that people should listen to them just because they are famous. And following the typical liberal narrative, they accuse Trump of being a racist, but offer no facts to support that claim.
Watch as Hollywood tries to use their sense of entitlement to pander to and at the same time shame the American people.
I'll give them a bonus point for the Avengers nod in the title.

I think shaking in their boots is a fair descriptor. The question is "why isn't everyone shaking in their boots?". There is zero chance Drumpf is good for familyfaithwhatever.com organization the article is from.

Only in America can words "faith" and "family" used in the same sentence be a dog whistle for conservative religious right-wing nuts.
Which again begs the question why they like Trump in the first place

My friends, family and acquaintances who identify as "conservative religious type" seem to be overwhelmingly leaning Libertarian. Because of that, I just assumed it's fringe groups of conservative religious right-wing nuts that are supporting Trump.

Nope, it's the mainstream ones as well, like my parents. However, they're the type that vote more from the "Hillary is Satan" perspective than the "Trump is a Saint" perspective.

My parents as well, plus all their friends and everyone at their churches.
I've seen them bemoan that Trump isn't very Christian, but they've all decided that he is still God's way of saving the Supreme Court.
They're very, very aware that their voting third-party would subvert that end.

Hilariously, Drumpf is likely to nominate someone insane that neither side would support.
Keeping the supreme court out of liberal hands is about the only valid reason for voting for Drumpf, although who freakin' knows what will happen to the court if he's elected.

Also you don't have to be an attorney, let alone a judge, to be on SCOTUS.
I, for one, hope to live long enough to see constitutional scholars argue the merits of decisions made by the Busey Court.

Maybe its a Midwestern thing or maybe it's just the people I know then.
But now that I'm thinking about it a bit more, I can rattle off a few more extended family I know that lines up with what you're saying.
Edit: Also, I live in Illinois so many of these people are resigned to the fact that their vote won't matter since our State will be going HRC unless things go very very badly for her over the next few weeks.

If, God forbid, we do end up with a Trump presidency, it will be interesting to see what he actually does in office. Will he stick with his (relatively) new found conservative Republicanism? Or will he go back to being a mish-mash of ideologies? Part of that might depend on whether he would want a second term or not, but if he decides he doesn't care about the base that helped put him in, I could see him picking justices based on who he likes personally rather than those that pass a conservative litmus test. I assume he'd still push for the stupid wall in some form or another, but he was hardly a right winger in the past on social issues, IIRC.
