Since he obviously didn't take anyone's advice the first time around, I can only assume the shake-up is to bring in people who agree with him. Which means he'll completely bomb in the second debate as well. If I was in the Hillary camp, there would be high fives all around.

I'd think that that ship has sailed. The people that love him are unlikely to be the ones that would be likely to do business with him. And now that his "payment" policies have been pretty thoroughly documented, I suspect that a lot of businesses, at least smaller ones, are going to think twice about doing any kind of business with any aspect of the Trump empire.

He's just sharing some of the wealth he accumulated from all of the suckers who donated to his campaign. He doesn't really care one way or another how well he's doing. He's a con man, nothing more.

Interesting little story in a comment on Reddit, with relevant links - I'm surprised I haven't heard this one yet, and still cannot fathom how he has anywhere near the level of support he does:

I guess his retort would be that this is good business, or that it makes him smart?

Evidently Trump's main attack post-debate is going to be
follow the money. Which on the one hand makes sense given the media coverage of Clinton this election cycle, and yet at the same time is hilarious given Trump's refusal to release his tax returns and comical levels of corruption.
Also means that Clinton needs to hit him hard at the next debate on financial regulation, in addition to the Trump Foundation and other issues.

Trump picked up
$18 million in donations after the debate. Dude is unstoppable and when you see stuff like this, it's no wonder he keeps on Trumpin' -- it's working.
About one third of the money, or roughly $6 million, was donated online, the majority of which will go directly to Trump's campaign. The rest of the funds were secured over the phone through an effort to reel in major contributions for a joint fundraising committee with the national party, which can accept as much as $549,400 per individual donor. Details of the fundraising totals were first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Donald Trump Tells Non-Christians At Rally To Identify Themselves
“Raise your hand if you’re not a Christian conservative. I want to see this, right? Oh there’s a a couple people, that’s all right,” Trump said as he dismissively waved a hand. “I think we’ll keep them, right? Should we keep them in the room, yes? I think so.”

Is it possible he was hoping to finally reveal this whole thing has been a way for him to announce he's joined a Pink Floyd cover band?
Are there any queers in the theater tonight?
Get them up against the wall!
There's one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me,
Get him up against the wall!
That one looks Jewish!
And that one's a coon!
Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint,
And another with spots!
If I had my way,
I'd have all of you shot!

Seriously, right?! I'm about to go on a self-imposed social media blackout until after the election. I'm just continually dumbfounded and it's starting to affect my blood pressure. I work with some quite-intelligent (in their fields) people, but then I see their 'likes' popping up on facebook, and I keep thinking they got hacked, until I see their comments.

7. This next issue might be one of the most important, but I suspect few will understand its significance. Trump opposes globalism. Hillary thrives on it. Globalism is far more than "geographical" or "eliminating national borders and boundaries." It is spiritual and demonic at its core. Few—very few—understand this. This is quite likely one of the main reasons why Trump is hated. Do your homework on this one. Think "principalities and powers." Serious. Extremely serious.
That's Ephesians 6:12:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Just three verses down from this gem (5-9):
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

And then there's this gem:
Trump will expose—and I pray, bring down—"the systemic evil" (crony, deceitful, misuse of capitalism) that reigns among many high-dollar lobbyists.

I am thinking this story of Trump doing business with Cuba during the embargo is a mini-October surprise. If there is one state Trump almost MUST win to be POTUS that would be Florida. And now Rubio is saying Trump should answer questions on breaking the embargo. This could really sting Drumpf in Florida...

Rubio saying that strikes me as a big f'ing deal, because if nothing else it suggests that Rubio thinks the Cuban community / Florida voters will lose their shit over it.
Also - is this something where if it's true and Trump knew about it, he could have criminal liability, at least in theory?

I'm still a bit upset that the Trump campaign hasn't sent me my signed copy of "Art of the Deal", all I've gotten so far is a lousy #trumptrain sticker that I obviously can't place on my vehicle due to how many hoodlums make up the democratic party. I'm taking a chance with the "Deplorable" decal as it is.

For the first time in it's history, USA Today
weighs in on the election.
In the 34-year history of USA TODAY, the Editorial Board has never taken sides in the presidential race. Instead, we’ve expressed opinions about the major issues and haven’t presumed to tell our readers, who have a variety of priorities and values, which choice is best for them. Because every presidential race is different, we revisit our no-endorsement policy every four years. We’ve never seen reason to alter our approach. Until now.
This year, the choice isn’t between two capable major party nominees who happen to have significant ideological differences. This year, one of the candidates — Republican nominee Donald Trump — is, by unanimous consensus of the Editorial Board, unfit for the presidency.

When the term deplorable was specifically associated with being "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic ," why would someone go out of their way to identify themselves with a sticker or shirt? deplorable, so they wear it with pride.
I think what's confusing you here is you would think they may care about it, but they don't.
