I had heard Nitzer Ebb songs when I first started getting into industrial, but had never seen their name written out anywhere.LawBeefaroni wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:42 pm "Front Two For One"
Because they pretty much always came with Nitzer Ebb.

Spent time at the Nectarine when you went the UofM, did you? (or the Shelter, or Industry, or the Shitty Club, or that other place in Pontiac whose name I don't remember)

Two - You bait the line
Three - You slowly spread the net
And four - You catch the man
Kinda fitting for a politics thread though.

Heh. I did LD debate for 6 years -- through 2nd year of University -- and this is mostly true. The 'refute everything' idea was way more true in Team Policy debate. Team policy debates essentially turned into micromachine type recitation of points with people furiously scribbling notes. It was the speed chess of debate.Isgrimnur wrote: Wed Nov 25, 2020 2:25 pm Reminds me of the podcast I heard about Lincoln-Douglas debate in schools. If you fail to refute everything, you lose points.
I did that in high school. Tournaments really came down to sweaty nerds spitting facts off cards as quickly as possible.malchior wrote: Wed Nov 25, 2020 2:45 pmHeh. Yeah but how much did Trump's "campaign" make for Biden to gain 132 to votes in Wisconsin? Considerably more than 3M, I suspect. There are reports of over 150M raised since election day just to his Election Defense fund alone.naednek wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 12:57 am Really good businessman

I've seen that going around, but in context he seems to be (mis)using "vet" to mean "filter" or "get outside approval for."malchior wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 2:11 am Hard to believe!

Metal Kenneth Copeland.
The internet is undefeated...
Sure but then again I don't care...since words have meanings. And it's a bullshit take anyway. He peddles conspiracy theories and garbage information. It truly isn't vetted because it can't be.Holman wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 11:14 amI've seen that going around, but in context he seems to be (mis)using "vet" to mean "filter" or "get outside approval for."malchior wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 2:11 am Hard to believe!

Perdue used his position in the Senate to enrich himself and his wealthy donors. The stories follow the revelation from this spring that Perdue, a multi-millionaire, traded stocks following a private January briefing on the coronavirus at the same time he publicly downplayed the pandemic’s threat. If this sounds familiar, it’s because his colleague Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) did the same thing, sparking a Senate ethics investigation. Together, Perdue and Loeffler make a unique pair: two uber-rich senators whose wealth helped bring them power and put them in a position where they could make more money.
