In light of this precedent, I assume we don't have to wait for a post by The Meal to resume play with the next player at the table. Though I assume that the 24-hour clock wouldn't reset until an official PM from The Meal goes through.

Looks that way to me but I would guess that is Austin's call since he does not officially get on the clock until the player before him acts or is placed "away" by The Meal.
