You do not see "fire" here.

And quit it.

Chips of rust flake off the hook-shaped latch and the eye clasp it's locked into. It seems much looser.

You attempt to jam the key into the eyehole with the hook-latch, despite the obvious fact that it's not a lock. The key slips and you scrape you knuckles on the doorframe. You are now bleeding slightly. The rubbing alcohol on your hand has seeped into the wound and it burns like hell. Perhaps you should have stayed in bed today.

You open the door.
You feel a breeze come through the opening. You think you hear voices coming from down the corridor, but it may be the breeze playing with your mind.

Four walls, a floor and a roof overhead. Yes, you can feel pretty confident that you are in a room of some sort, perhaps even a corridor. There is a table and a box here. There are doorways on all four sides. Through the south doorway, you hear some voices.

You rush into the room vaguley aware that there seem to be a number of large faces peering down through the roof at you.

One shakes its fist and opens its hand allowing a large blue ten sided object to fall into your world. It bounces and rolls knocking you down just as you reach the table.

You wonder what the strange runes on the blue object's many facets mean as you gradually pass out.

You awake to find......................

You look inside the box and discover a futuristic ray gun with a set of instructions. [taken]

The instructions states:

"Congratulations on your purchase of the Acme Ice-Ray Gun. To use, simply point the gun at the object you want to freeze and fire. Note: This gun will not fire when pointed at living matter."

You slowly open the door, but pause when you hear it start to squeak. You peak through. You see a dragon and a guard in the room. Behind the Dragon, you see a Large Chest of Treasure.

"I'm going to have my beauty sleep now, " says the dragon - who certainly looks like he needs it. "See that I am undisturbed during my nap."

The guard nods his head and starts heading in your direction.

You hastily aim the Acme Ice-Ray Gun at the floor in front of the approaching guard and fire. The gun emits a satisfying sci-fi sound effect as a patch of the floor glistens with a fresh sheet of ice. The moment the guard notices you, he slips on the ice. He flails his arms and spins wildly in an attempt to regain balance. During this desperate dance, he unknowingly stumbles toward the sleeping dragon just as the beast is yawning. The guard falls into the dragon's mouth, which closes around him. You hear a tremendous GULP. The dragon stirs a bit, but falls back into contented sleep.

You gain one experience point.

The door will not squeek any longer!
However, it is now smothered in alcohol. You worry that a wrong breath from the dragon will start it on fire, as will your lamp if you light it.

As you near, you feel the heat that comes with every breath the dragon takes. It is really warming up as you near the beast, and finally, over the massive neck, you see another door. It is slightly open, and you see a faint light coming through the crack.

The treasure chest is too heavy to carry, and you cannot carry more than a handful of gold and jewels at a time with you. It would be a shame to leave the treasure here.

You notice a small open window next to the treasure that looks out onto a moat.

Through the crack in the door you can see part of the dark room beyond. The faint light comes from a pair of twisted white pillars standing to each side of a glowing ball of mystical energy.

You carefully push the door open. The bluish light from the mystic sphere bathes you in its eerie glow. The great dragon rustles behind you, but continues to sleep.

The room is barely visible, but appears to be a parlor of some sort. There is plush carpeting on the floor, artwork on the walls primarily consisting of portraits of men in rich attire. Divans line the walls, and above them hang elaborate candle-lamps which are not lit. You enter in the middle of one wall, with the glowing ball of energy at the end of the room to your right and an ornate spiral staircase apparently leading up and down at the end of the room to your left.

You skip into the room and your foot catches on the carpet's deep pile. You fall into the sphere of light. You hear a loud ZAP sound and your skin tingles as if you're covered in a thousand ants. The bright blue light burns your eyes, then all goes black.

You are in a small round room. There is a table near one wall on which are three bowls of powders and a piece of flint.

There is a wooden hatch in the floor and a very narrow window-slit in one wall.
