I wonder how many specials will get outed today, given this game has so many of them.

This is a very tough game for the Empire.

I'm making an educated guess that the player/team breakdown is likely 14 Empire vs 7 Rebels.

The Empire has 1 potential extravote every day...but the Empire player controlling it could likely be casting especially blind early in the game. May not be in play if Dooku is not a randomly selected role.
The Rebels have 1 potential extravote every day, and can coordinate that with the other Rebels. Additionally the Rebels have 3 one-time extravotes courtesy of that damned R2 unit--with a conditional. Both of these are also subject to the possibility that the role(s) may not be in play.

The Empire begins the game with the possibility of 2 anytime assassins: Mara and Greedo.
The Rebels have an "almost" anytime assassin with Chewie (needs one Empire vote against him).

Seems pretty likely that the Empire may have 3 misses, tops, to start off with. If the Rebels turn Mara, game may be over.

Margin is so close, I'm even waiving the frivolity of the triggercut rule. We need to choose carefully here. A lot of time until the deadline should it be a factor, but for now I have an instinct:

What's the "triggercut" rule?

It's bothering me that, unless a rebel screws up, our lynch today is inevitably going to be 95% guess, and given that imperials outnumber rebels, we're probably going to miss. But then there isn't really any way around that that I can see.

welcome to day 1.

triggercut rule: retaliation vote on someone voting for him with the reasoning that triggercut knows he's good so the one voting for him could be bad or is not helping the good side win.

The other alternative is to have 11 players pass on the vote and let it go to night.

Note: Extra votes may not be used for a pass vote. Only for actual lynches.

I'm not falling into the CG trap. Not killing someone is the worst course of action. The rebels know what team everyone is on and will happily pick us off at night while we mill about thinking of what to do.

There's a good chance the person we take out is an Imperial and even a powered Imperial. Wait, why is it a good idea to kill someone blindly again? I guess we have lots of Imperials to spare so it's worth the chance.

My thoughts on who to kill when we know nothing about anyone, is to kill someone who would be very dangerous if they were a Rebel, that's why my vote is on Grund. The downside, of course, is those dangerous people would be very helpful if they are Imperials and also keep the game interesting with their manipulations. I feel they have more power as Rebels though and are worth eliminating.

Wouldn't the rebels rely on the social networking and spies within the Empire? Seems to me you are describing the rebel means of acquiring evidence.

His lack of participation is a big part of what makes me think he's a rebel, he has another outlet for his game analysis and planning. One assumes there is much more to talk about on the rebel forum where there is actual information available to put together with what is being said here. Pulling puppet strings is keeping him busy and out of this thread.

coopasonic, I understand the decision to go after Grund. Suggestion... go back and look at recent games. Grundbegriff has been very quiet for large chunks of time during Day Ones, then becomes verbose the closer we get to a deadline. Not saying the vote is wrong, but your reasoning for the vote - lack of participation is faulty. I've been using that as an excuse in past games and was wrong most of the time.

Scoop.

He also is well known for wanting to join the "wolf" team when ever he can.
Additionally, he loves to muck around with imaginary role assignments, regardless of what team he's on - that's not going to be helpful in a game like this...
Oh - and he did sorta start this game about as sober as Scoop ever does. (not in that Semaj sober way, which, btw, is also really standing out to me right now) .

So, yeah.

If I had to put a few VERY early guesses down, I'd say:
Scoop
Lassr
Semaj

tru1cy with his quick vote on me also sorta looked a little sneaky... clearly -not much to go on there, but that in itself....

tit for tat. You think we the Empire do not have agents out in the field trying our best to quell the rebellion? I find your lack of faith disturbing. (That is simply a quote! No hint about my role!)

If I see a better place for my vote I'll reconsider. At this point, there is no credible information to go on. It's almost entirely random, baseless finger-pointing.

Are LM, CR and RMC the only ones left who have pointed no random, baseless fingers yet?
