Do you think he'll pick a HF or PP Mafia cabinet? I can't see him picking anyone other than someone he can expect absolute loyalty from.
He's already promised Musk a position "as efficiency czar" and has been choosing from the HF and PP field as his advisors in a growing capacity since 2016. He is either getting loyalty or behind the scenes kickbacks.
OtOH, I don't see them betraying him unless they know they can do it safely. They will just continue to lay groundwork for their style of "technocracy" with them as the Plato Golden bloods until they know they're safe.
Edit: Damn you new page!

To be fair, we haven't actually had 'rules' in a long time. When we did, posting excerpts with links rather than entire articles was absolutely one of them (I remember porting that part of them from the Gone Gold CoC.)

If I was less than courteous, I apologize to Grifman. Probably a side effect of posting before the morning caffeine has entered my bloodstream. Not being overly blunt, in text or person, requires a conscious effort from me, and when I'm tired, I don't always notice that aspect of what I say (it's one of the reasons that in-person conversations are exhausting for me!)

You weren’t rude, it just struck me wrong, and I didn’t think it necessary. I always post a link, the one time I don’t because I don’t really have a link (I don’t consider FB a good link and to be honest, since I saw it in the app, I don’t even know how to post such a link) and someone doesn’t ask why, but assumes I, a long time poster, just doesn’t know what’s going on. Like I said, a PM would have been more appropriate. If I had done it several times, sure, but one time, give a guy a break. But no hard feelings towards BH or anyone else. Let’s move on and talk about Cheeto Man. I’m good.

That idea is going like wildfire on the social medias. I keep questioning how it will work and never get a solid answer.
I believe normally Congress would need to declare the President unfit for office by a 2/3rd majority vote. However, Section 4 of the 25th Amendment allows the Vice President and the Cabinet to jointly agree the President is unfit for office.
That's my point. I don't see how 2/3rds of Congress or Trump's hand-picked cabinet would betray him.
I can see how his Heritage Foundation and Paypal Mafia cabinet would betray him the very moment they think can succeed.
Do you think he'll pick a HF or PP Mafia cabinet? I can't see him picking anyone other than someone he can expect absolute loyalty from.
Of course he’d only going to pick a cabinet 100% loyal to him (not the country or the Constitution, mind you). That’s been his MO forever.
It’s why this talk of Vance taking over is lunacy. Vance isn’t using Trump (although that idiot probably thinks he is); it’s the other way around!
He picked Vance because Thiel and Musk and others told him to, not because he identified Vance as most loyal. He'll pick his cabinet the same way. He may think they're loyal because that's what he's being told. But they'll be PPM guys.

Oklahoma families, teachers and faith leaders file lawsuit to block Superintendent Ryan Walters’ Bible-education mandate
More than 30 Oklahomans – including parents and children, public school teachers and faith leaders – today filed a lawsuit urging the Oklahoma Supreme Court to block state Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters’ mandate that all public schools incorporate the Bible into their curricula. The lawsuit, Rev. Lori Walke v. Ryan Walters, also asks the court to stop the state from spending millions of taxpayer dollars on Bibles to support the mandate.
The 32 plaintiffs include 14 public school parents, four public school teachers and three faith leaders who object to Walters’ extremist agenda that imposes his personal religious beliefs on other people’s children – in violation of Oklahomans’ religious freedom and the separation of church and state. The plaintiffs come from a variety of faith traditions, including Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian (U.S.A.) and United Church of Christ, and some identify as atheist, agnostic or nonreligious. Some are of Indigenous heritage, and some have family situations – such as LGBTQ+ members or children with special educational needs – that cause particular concerns around teaching the Bible in public schools, especially around bullying.
The plaintiffs are represented by Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Oklahoma Foundation, the Freedom From Religion Foundation and Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law & Justice.

What a wonderful question to throw at Trump - and watch him squirm. I also loved how the questioners face briefly contorted when Trump started to talk about the size of the crowd he spoke to on Jan 6th being so big. (Trump caught himself and dropped that, but you could tell the questioner didn't miss it.)

Elon Musk is offering $100 to registered voters in Pennsylvania to sign a pro-Donald Trump petition.
"If you're a registered Pennsylvania voter, you & whoever referred you will now get $100 for signing our petition in support of free speech & right to bear arms. Earn money for supporting something you already believe in," the SpaceX CEO wrote to his more than 200 million followers on X, formerly Twitter.
Musk linked to America PAC, a political action organization he founded in support of Trump's presidential campaign.
I'd say take the PACs money if you live in one of the states but don't, because you'll be on their contact list.

I feel like not getting one's money would lead to claims of false advertising. Which, if you gather enough people who claim they didn't get their $100 would be good enough for a lawyer to sue? But I'm not a lawyer so I wouldn't know if this is how it would go.

Well sure, in the old world where people are held accountable. A class action lawsuit is a lot of work only to be settled for a fraction of the actual missed payments, and that's after everyone's time and money has been wasted pursuing it.
The bottom line here is that drumpf et co. are constantly bilking, skimming, scamming, defrauding and just refusing to pay what they legally owe. There are whole cities that are still owed money for security and infrastructure for rallies the drumpf campaign has simply not paid. Who knows about the legal intricacies of buying signatures on a piece of paper (yes, I realize they are not actual signatures on actual paper).
So yes, in a reasonable world with common sense ruling the day, they couldn't get away with simply not paying. I have zero confidence that we still live in that world.
