Oh, yikes. No alignment on death?

I suppose I've been conditioned by my late arrival to the OOWW party to expect alignment (some of you had to carry pianos uphill in the snow for five miles to school both ways, I'm sure). Not having played a previous Lars' game, I can see this will prove quite tricksy.

It would seem we could trust a Bakhtosh claim of villager, but a wise wolf (knowing all specials are alive or will soon be known to the cabal) might claim villager (especially after his initial wolf claim) to confuse the issue.

So we do not get human or werewolf on lynch? I read the rules again and did not see mention of it. I thought Cabal got specific roles only but we would know their alignment.

After hearty dinner, bb2112 was walking back to his hut when he glanced toward the town square and gasped in surprise. After the first few breaths produced nothing but wheezes, he finally let loose with a timber rumbling "ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WOLF!"

As the townsfolk came running they saw bb2112 pointing toward the square as the color drained from his face. There, hanging from the gallows, was the biggest, must muscular wolf they had ever seen.

BAKHTOSH WAS A WOLF!

Werewolves - who looks tasty?

The village team pulls a surprise hit, and evens the score, one to one. Top of the second and the wolf team is up - they'll have to work hard to overcome the home team advantage.

But seriously, if there were a wolf shooter (that could get to fire if Bakhtosh had a chance) then you might have an argument. Otherwise, once the lynch is inevitable it makes a lot more sense for a wolf to rush to cast the killing vote so as to get the credit.

And sweet! Nice to have the day 1 lynch actually come up wolf.

So you're saying that a wolf--recognizing the seeming inevitability of Bakhtosh being hung, decides that instead of laying low, instead comes up with a bull-puckey list of reasons to cast the killing vote so he can splash around in it like a kid in a fountain, trying to hide in plain sight?

Yeah, that's kinda what I'm seeing too, as i read the Bakhtosh to the gallows vote train as well.

While reviewing what I wrote, I noticed I screwed up the math. Night is supposed to last a minimum of 18 hours and maximum of 36 hours. The times have been corrected below.

Sorry if there was any confusion.

Boilerplate -
Mentalist - will you communicate with someone?
Werewolf Hunter - will you protect someone?
Sorcerer - what question do you seek an answer to?
Seer - on whom will you concentrate the Third Eye?
Cabalists - whom will you examine? The darkness has unlocked the Hidden Crypt once more.
Werewolves - who looks tasty?

Not 100% right. My choice was Purge due to reasons I outlined. I didn't pick Baktosh only because I have no experience with him. However Q and Unagi were the ones that got the ball rolling in the right direction. Once again proving I don't ever want to be on the opposite side of Unagi. :D
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

I think you didn't pick BT because you were trying to shield him which brings me to:

Good

LL

Probably good in that order

pr0ner (He was the banner that got BT lynched even he wasn't the first vote)
Unagi
Chaosraven
Qantaga

probably bad in that order

bb2112 (He was the rallying cry to get purge lynched in lieu of BT, though if Purge turns out to be a wolf as well, I'll reverse my opinion 180 and put bb2112 in the probably good box)

probably the sorcerer (and maybe a wolf if not but I can't see a wolf trying to derail the inevitable and then jump back on it before things play out)

newcastle

And am confused at how many of the rest of you fit in to the only 3 remaining wolf spots

And it pains me to chaosraven in the probably good category.

Hey all,

I just wanted to apologize for my absence - I've been having a *really* hard time in my personal life, and with E3 looming, articles and reviews to write, Clark Kent job being very busy and now limited access to a PC, I've not been on this forum since Page 15 (and spotty even before that).

I'll be out of town for most of next week (at the LA convention center helping with E3 coverage).

I'm currently here: viewtopic.php?p=2008225#p2008225" target="_blank
(for my own reference)

and I'll be catching up from there. Since we're in night 2, I suppose there was a lynch. I've not read ahead yet so when I'm caught up I'll post an update.
