I dipped a toe in the swampy, toxic waters of Facebook yesterday (first time in maybe...6 months?), and it didn't disappoint. One of the first posts I see in my feed is from a previous family friend (kinda) posting an "article" about how "the liberals" are VERY worried about the fact that the American flag insults Muslims.

It took a LOT of willpower not to engage. Would have only been the following: "WHICH liberals, Bill? Please show me, as I am genuinely curious and concerned about this." (concerned for a very different reason than he is though) Did I REALLY want to bait this guy, then get into something that I'm very sure he would not change his mind about. On FB, of all places?! I saw that when it appeared and assumed it was satire. Only when people kept retweeting it to dump on the poster did I realize it was sincere.

Looks to me like Florida Man is enjoying his privacy now and slathering on less orange paste. He also looks like dying shit, but that's maybe more of a personal opinion than a professional one.

There's a weird moment when 1-2 of the mic go behind Biden's hand/arm (most clearly about 11 seconds in), and made more bizarre by the relative size of the mic to Biden's hand.

Edit: watching a different video of a different perspective, it makes it clear that 1) some of them are *big* Mics and 2) Biden does put his hand in front of them briefly.

So maybe a slight optical illusion because it looked odd from the above angle.

That is an unusual moment. My only "explain" is either added in post for some very unknown reason and the intern did a shit job. Maybe whoever published it was afraid of using another news agency's audio so they fluffed in their own mic so they could claim the audio was theirs.

I mean, it's clear he's there. The mic is the issue, not him.
