These are the people who could start an "unable to complete his duties as President" with VP Pence's support. Those hopes are dashed. It's impeachment or national disaster and disgrace.

I'll give them credit for embracing the patriotic modern analogue of "We must, indeed, all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

You don't want to be on the wrong side of Operation Hummingbird.
Everyone of those spinless sycophantic sellouts need to be held accountable every day for their aquiesence. Worthless yes-men and women that shouldn't be lost to history.

Further national disaster and disgrace. We're well beyond the point at which we as a nation can choose to take action and get to your 'or' at this point. The present state of affairs is an enormous disaster, and we're thoroughly disgraced internationally already.

Trump’s Personal Lawyer Bragged That He Got US Attorney Preet Bharara Fired
Marc Kasowitz, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in the Russia investigation, has boasted to friends and colleagues that he played a central role in the firing of Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, according to four people familiar with the conversations.
Kasowitz told Trump, “This guy is going to get you,” according to a person familiar with Kasowitz’s account.
Those who know Kasowitz say he is sometimes prone to exaggerating when regaling them with his exploits. But if true, his assertion adds to the mystery surrounding the motive and timing of Bharara’s firing.
New presidents typically ask U.S. attorneys to resign and have the power to fire them. But Trump asked Bharara to stay in his job when they met in November at Trump Tower, as Bharara announced after the meeting.
In early March, Trump reversed himself. He asked all the remaining U.S. attorneys to resign, including Bharara. Bharara, a telegenic prosecutor with a history of taking on powerful politicians, refused and was fired March 11.
As ProPublica previously reported, at the time of Bharara’s firing the Southern District was conducting an investigation into Trump’s secretary of the health and human services, Tom Price.
Kasowitz and the White House did not respond to requests for comment.

Gen. Mattis did a little bit of political jinjitsu at the White House bukkake the other day by not referencing The Leader but the people in the armed forces and Dept of Defense.
From the NYT:
“Mr. President, it’s an honor to represent the men and women of the Department of Defense, and we are grateful for the sacrifices our people are making in order to strengthen our military so our diplomats always negotiate from a position of strength,” Mr. Mattis said as Mr. Trump sat, stern-faced.

Still pussyfooting around. He should have said something like:
Mr. President,
I am ashamed to be sitting in this circle jerk while the men and women of the Department of Defense make great sacrifices to gain a position of strength that we happily piss away by gutting the dimplomatic corps and distancing our allies.

There were questions about whether UNC would visit the White House after winning the NCAA basketball championship; the coach along with members of the team had been critical of Trump. As far as I know, they have yet to receive an invitation from the WH.

Over the last 12 months, about 70% of buyers of Trump properties were limited liability companies – corporate entities that allow people to purchase property without revealing all of the owners’ names. That compares with about 4% of buyers in the two years before.

After all the nice things Trump said about Frederick Douglass, he was expecting support from him as well, so his disappointment is understandable.

It was clear Trump would eventually be investigated. Comey was buying time by preying on Trump's ego -- "it's not REALLY about you, sir, so cooperate with our investigation so we can incriminate you." That's why Trump wanted to reduce the pressure.

Can't imagine the deplorables are too happy about this:
President Trump will not immediately eliminate protections for the so-called Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as small children, according to new memorandums issued by the administration Thursday night...
...A fact sheet posted on the department’s website says immigrants enrolled in the 2012 program, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, “will continue to be eligible” to renew every two years and notes that “no work permits will be terminated prior to their current expiration dates.”
A news release from the department said flatly that “the June 15, 2012, memorandum that created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will remain in effect.”
But officials at the White House and the Department of Homeland Security said Friday morning that those statements were intended only to clarify that immigrants enrolled in the DACA program would not immediately be affected by a separate action officially ending a similar program for the parents of those immigrants.
