Same here. And the card is intended to be the Ad, so your Action: Bet 30 is binding.

Slow playing an Ace? Strange... I only have an 8 with a K kicker. I'll think on this one for a minute. You've made some bold bluffs, but could easily have me beat here.

The small pre-flop raise is maybe a small pocket pair, but could be an Ace/ low card. The check/call makes me think you're chasing something or maybe nursing a small pair. The all in seems bluffy to me. If you have the ace, why not try to draw me in for more rather than possibly push me out?

Low connectors in clubs? What would make you raise 10 pre-flop, then chase?

And with that we're on our first dealer-inspired hiatus. I'll be back next Monday for HAND21, our first hand with blinds at 5/10.

The next dealer-inspired hiatus will be from 13 June until 25 June, although the possibility exists for some extremely sporadic play during the first-half of that break.

Thanks! I've played some good ones, and some bone-headed ones (and some plain old stubborn ones). Short-stacked, I needed this one.

Pretty interesting situation with the stacks and the rising blinds as we head forward. I know I shouldn't advertise, but I'm definitely curious as to how folks will adjust their game for the hyper-aggressive structure.

I think that the modification to the structure is one of the better changes I've made for the MTT game.

In keeping with recent stats dumps, I thought I'd update our hole card holdings.

Through 20 games, we've had 172 hands dealt. Of those 172 hands, we've seen:

14 pocket pairs (10.1 expected)
4 suited connectors (6.2 expected)
16 unsuited connectors (18.7 expected)
39 hands of two suited cards (40.4 expected), and
21 hands of two "broadway" cards (ten through ace) (24.6 expected).

Of the 20 games played we've had 10 games with a sum preflop equity in the hole cards below 100%, and 10 games with the sum above 100%. The lowest of the combined preflop equities has been 82.4%, while the largest has been 120.4%. The average combined preflop equity of all dealt hands over the 20 games played has been 101.2%, indicating that the hole cards dealt have been just a slight bit better than average. (Through the first 10 games dealt, those numbers were 3, 7, 90.3%, 118.8%, and 105.1%.)
