I guess I'm lucky in that Batman doesn't do much for me, so I'm not that interested.
I was really interested in the
Harry Potter game that Knight Models is doing, because the figures are AMAZING. But then I saw the gameplay, and was immediately turned off. That was a game that I could have gone all in on, but I was interested in doing a skirmish minis game in the HP universe, not a board game for $300.

RE: Batman
They just upped the stakes. They've added hero sheets for seven of the villains (Bane, Joker, Harley, Scarecrow, Penguin, Riddler, and Two-Face), along with a mini-campaign using them. It swaps the roles of the one-against-all: The one plays the heroes, and the all play the villains.
For the base pledge, it is an extra $10 and requires the Versus expansion.
For the all-in, it is free.

And Batman just added one of the lesser-known characters as a mid-goal milestone bonus. It's one nobody was expecting, but is a fantastic addition.

Haha now that's funny. I don't know enough about Batman other than the most basic stuff but I like that miniature...

Just stumbled across a site that bills itself as the "Kickstarter resurrection headquarters". Looks like they purchase kickstarters in volume (many of them have retail pledge levels, I've noticed) and then sell them after the project ends.
Clever, I have to say.

Batcow was just a regular cow with markings that looked a little like a mask. Robin (Damian) rescued him during an incident at a slaughterhouse, insisted on keeping him, and named him 'Batcow.' It was a surprisingly touching bit when you got to see Damian, usually one of the more intense and broody Batman characters, actually show that he's still and 11-year-old child.

Local multiplayer only seems like a pretty big drawback on that one. It's one of my friends favorite boardgames and she would love to play it online if it were possible. If we have to play it in person, it seems like we might as well just play the board-game.

Sounds like online coop will be added at some point.

Since it got misplaced in the 2017 thread (see the Meta forum about that), I'll echo this here:
Batman: Gothan City Chronicles is currently at 2.8 million dollars with 20 days to go. It is a Batman themed miniatures board game which is, from what I've heard, based on the Conan rules from a few years ago (same developer.) They've created three others in the past, and it looks like they've delivered all three in playable condition and on time, and have actively supported the game after launch.
I love this game. It's pretty pricey, but the kids, who I've turned into almost as big of DC fans as I am, have decided to chip in some of their saved allowance money (and they spend very little), so I should be able to get in on the lowest tier.
And they're at the 24 hour mark.

and on the brink of 4 million dollars as of this moment.

HEXplore It: The Forests of Adrimon is up on Kickstarter. I’ve been playing the first one the past two weekends. In spite of an initial bit of uncertainty about some of the mechanics, I’ve come to really enjoy it. It does capture the feel of a good RPG.

Yeah, I backed the instant it launched, I'm all over this game. Might be one of my favorites. That being said, I have no interest in the expansion to the expansion (where you play the villain). But I think I might actually enjoy the theme of this new one more than the existing title.
I also backed
Maximum Apocalypse Gothic Horrors Expansion,
Unbroken and late-supported the reprint of
Gloom of Kilforth.
I need to stop, but man...it's tough.

Thanks for the Unbroken heads up. I backed it just now. I think I'm going to avoid the Max Apocalypse expansion though. I have the core game and the Kaiju expansion, but I'm a little wary. The first game annoyed me a bit while trying to set up one of the scenarios, only to find it had the wrong info. And it was repeated on at least one other in the core game. Plus, the price point is a little high for what you're getting, imho. I'll probably get it, but only at a discount from an online retailer in the future.

That's probably a fair take on the MA expansion, though I'm a sucker for anything Cthulhu and I'm hoping to run into him again at my local convention in a few months. I do believe there's going to be an updated core rulebook printed (and I'd assume available for download) with this expansion. I know people have complained it's difficult to parse some of the rules; it's difficult for me because I played a demo and had it taught to me - the best way I learn. I'm sure my mind is mentally filling in any gaps that other people might be stuck on.
Either way, the art is the biggest sell for me - it's what pulled me into the first one and I'm really excited to see what he's able to do with the Cthulhu mythos.
With my recent obsession over true solo games, I stumbled across Unbroken via Rahdo. I think the best KS projects are the ones you don't know a thing about and end up stumbling into long after they're on the road to success.

I think the real selling point for me was the narration for Unbroken's trailer on the kickstarter page. I really felt like I was listening to a pervert tell me about a board game while he looks at porn sites.

Posting this for the benefit of any OOers with current or former U.S. military friends/family (e.g. I'm backing on behalf of a good friend scheduled to ship out for Air Force BMT early next month):
It's basically
Cards Against Humanity infused with The Onion-esque military humour of the outstanding

While it wasn't a KS that I backed, you can purchase copies now through their 2017
KS page (which takes you to their retail store):
It's like a card game version of the old Fighting Fantasy game books - and that's exactly why I had to get them. The general art style and game play is is done in that theme, but overall it's a very lite (and quick) game (another reason I picked it up).

While I certainly enjoyed the original Fighting Fantasy gamebooks back in the day,
Themeborne's game seems rather overpriced given your description of how it plays (£29.99 + £7.00 for US shipping = $50+ USD for the base game alone).
The artwork also looks a bit naff to me. But hey, whatever floats yer goat.

Oh, it was certainly a
boutique purchase, but I truly am a sucker for anything that evokes a Fighting Fantasy theme. There were US vendors selling it for over $100 (imported games are serious business) so for me going right to the source made more sense. They might be pandering to people in my age group, but for me it
worked.

Tunnels and Trolls was my first RPG as a kid. I have so many fond memories of poring over the rulebooks to create just the right character. Spending hours in all night games with other friends from high school. And then even more time with the solo adventure books.
Of course, this was during the age of gas lamps and horse drawn carriages...

My Kickstarter copy of the Roll Player expansion, Monsters and Minions, just arrived. I love Roll Player, but at the end of every game I find myself wishing I could take this character I've spent the entire game building up out into the field. Well, now you can...in a way. They've added a boss to fight at the end of the game, as well as the ability to hunt their minions and gather gold, loot and intelligence from them.
I like what I've seen so far. I'll need to take it out for a solo spin though.

Huh. I'm a Hostage Negotiator backer and (I thought) I was a subscriber to their newsletter. I remember seeing the The Big Score and Detective: City of Angels via an emailed announcement, but nothing about this. It's absolutely in my wheelhouse and I'm backing it - thanks!

I usually end up stopping by their booth at Gencon every year and picking up their latest kickstarter games, so I'll probably just do that again this year for this kickstarter. Saves me on shipping. Plus, they usually toss in some goodies for stopping by.

Pretty excited about the new Kickstarter from restoration games,
Fireball Island.
I'm all in on it, although it is more expensive than I hope for everything, I can't help it, Restoration games has done such a nice job with the games they have restored so far and this one has been fun to follow along with.
