I wish we'd had these guns when we were kids and teens. We had a type of gun that shot soft yellow plastic BB sized projectiles then but they used springs as the firing mech and were weak sauce. We also had a disc gun that was a bit more powerful but still weak and not accurate. We had to use real BB guns and wear thick pants and only aim for legs.

This would have been great.

I'm not sure we can 'have it both ways'. Maybe it's just me. but this casual gun culture love you are quick to express, I just can't get too excited about these days at all. All I see are dead kids. Not kidding.

Hah, a couple weeks ago I was driving while listening to music from my phone, when I got a call. That's a very rare thing. What's even rarer is that it was someone I needed to talk to. So I told Wife "Excuse me, I gotta take this," went into a mini-panic, pressed a button on my steering wheel, and started talking. I didn't even know how to do that until I did it. Wife was flabbergasted and now she wants a new car that she can to talk to herself, because her 2010 car is stuck in Daehawk time.

I waffle around on this. I watched my son and some of his friends get into airsoft 10 to 15 years ago. It reminded me of my experience with paintball in the late 80s In both cases it was run around in the woods with friends where the "guns" merely served to make it into a very casual sport. After a couple of years of playing off and on he drifted away from those friends and that was that.

I think it was a positive thing for him at that age but what I see now makes me feel like you.
