That was a good description.

I've never seen True Blood (had to google her, and it). Added it to my list for maybe someday.

Is Jon sick or is he wearing a really oversized cap? He looks like a little old man. I looked him up and he is only 47. He looks nothing like he did in The Walking Dead or The Punisher. Im worried he is sick now.

Many actors don't maintain their 'badass' muscle mass when they're not actively shooting a show that requires it. It takes a great deal of time and effort to stay at that level.

I'm going to watch this tonight - I actually just finished The Punisher S1 a few minutes ago.

I recognized her as Karen Page in the Netflix/Marvel shows (Daredevil, The Punisher, The Defenders), which I'd assume is her link to Bernthal (who looks perfectly healthy to me). I had no idea she was in True Blood.

True Blood lasted 7 seasons and won some awards...must've done something right. I think I'll watch the first ep tonight and see if it's for me. The premise sounds a lot like the storyline for I Zombie, except with vampires. Yes, I realize TB did it first.

Speaking of that (and True Blood), I walked by Joe Manganiello one year at GenCon and thought "Wow, that guy looks like like Joe Manganiello but it can't be him because he's too skinny." I didn't find out until I got home and was reading GenCon recaps that it was actually him. I'm used to seeing him totally buffed out in movies (I have to watch a lot of them because my wife has a crush on him). But he was just in pure regular skinny dude mode.

In an episode of Behind the Bastards that I listened to recently Robert Evans made a passing reference to an actor (I can't remember who) that characterized his job, at least in part, as being paid to have a series of eating disorders as he was required to transform his body to suit different roles.

I went back and found it. The actor was Channing Tatum, although what Evans said isn't quite what I remembered.
Robert Evans wrote:I actually really appreciate Channing Tatum's talked a good amount about ... how many weird body image issues he got because if you are a leading man ... your job is to be professionally a disordered eater, like you're supposed to have body dysmorphia for money

This guy would agree with that, too.

I've recently started watching Tasting History with Max Miller and I agree, this series is great. Such an original idea. The recent episode featuring Max making the same meal that was found in the stomach lining of a 5000 year old frozen ice man was fantastic.

Heh after watching the first episode I'm inclined to believe you. I just abandoned "Away" halfway through so I'm casting about for a new-to-me series, preferably with a sci-fi flavor.

Already saw Fringe. And Eureka. And probably 90% of whatever else you can think up. (BTW, the new Orphan Black series isn't very good.)

Far Out Space Nuts?

It had the same gritty hard science feel of The Expanse, but also included the ensemble feel of a Firefly or Farscape.

Just want to be totally clear that you've watched Fire Fly, right?
I know a lot of boomers missed that one, and most people won't think to make sure.

I don't know the answer, but I can guess the answer:

Lots of places, but it's a lot more than a single text prompt. It's likely a series of short segments carefully edited together. Most likely the people that are making them (and I've seen enough of them pushed in feeds to know they're popular) are using a dedicated machine with a copy of Stable Diffusion (or whatever) on it.
