Speaking of that (and True Blood), I walked by Joe Manganiello one year at GenCon and thought "Wow, that guy looks like like Joe Manganiello but it can't be him because he's too skinny." I didn't find out until I got home and was reading GenCon recaps that it was actually him. I'm used to seeing him totally buffed out in movies (I have to watch a lot of them because my wife has a crush on him). But he was just in pure regular skinny dude mode.

In an episode of Behind the Bastards that I listened to recently Robert Evans made a passing reference to an actor (I can't remember who) that characterized his job, at least in part, as being paid to have a series of eating disorders as he was required to transform his body to suit different roles.
