Where were you in 2007???

Trump Steaks were sold at The Sharper Image for two months before being discontinued. According to Sharper Image CEO Jerry W. Levin, "The net of all that was we literally sold almost no steaks, if we sold $50,000 of steaks grand total, I'd be surprised."

If you want to get fleeced, you should go with mutton.

Yeah, trusting Trump with an online high end steak purchase seems like a joke. I wonder if that business would do better now.

Actually, he sells them all bullshit now, why bother with steak.

They need to get more black women in the pipeline. It's all well and good to appoint after the fact but Harvard and Yale, where nearly all the justices come from (8 of 9 IIRC), are 6% black vs the national demographic of ~15%.

Addressing the problem from the top down makes a lot of people feel good about themselves but it is one of the slowest ways to have any real effect on the lives of socially and economically marginalized populations.

Moving the finish line only helps those who got to run the race. We have to move the starting line.

I can't pinpoint it, but I have a pretty solid dislike for Chuck Schumer, always have. He just SEEMS so disengenuous (I know, news flash, politician seems "politicky"!)

But say compared to an Amy Klobuchar, or quite a few other D "names" he just seems so damn fake. Same for Nancy Pelosi in fact. I would have included (shit, already forgot his name...the guy that ran the Trump impeachment hearings for the D's) but he's already out of the picture. That trio as "Democratic leadership" was very cringy to me.

We can do better, because we HAVE better in the party. Please don't make me define "better"! :P

I don't have any strong feelings about Schumer. I don't care for his "peering over half-glasses" look, but that's a minor gripe.

Pelosi is easy to dislike, but I admire her ability to crack the whip. She's a master at herding cats.

Christ.
Signaling a potential change in strategy after a tumultuous first year, Biden administration officials confirmed Monday they were considering a pivot to a good presidency. “While we’re confident that the nation needed flailing, directionless leadership, we are starting to realize that what Americans want is a president who is good at his job and not bad at his job,” said press secretary Jen Psaki, who also relayed concern from Democratic insiders that it was an extremely risky move to try and be successful and popular instead of being despised, inept failures. “We’ve been focused on underperforming expectations and backtracking on key campaign promises, but now we’re thinking of changing course and concentrating on becoming effective for a while. There are some concerns from advisors that a transition to high approval ratings and strong support from the American people goes against the normal Democratic brand, but we think it might be worth a chance.” At press time, sources reported the administration had decided to back down from pivoting to a good presidency due to growing anxiety about the spending that would entail.

I’m confused about what your comment means here.

This is a satirical article from The Onion, so I’m just not getting what you mean by, ‘Christ’ (assuming that means you found something outlandish, etc)

I assumed he was saying "christ" because even the Onion is lambasting his presidency. However, if he does think the Onion is a serious news outlet, I will stand corrected.
