I don't think Harris will get to tap the Biden account as it's set up to re-elect him, not them. I think he has the option to donate to a Super PAC, though, which would presumably support her.

They should give the money back to the donors and let them decide what to do with it. That would provide another contrast with the Florida Marmalade Man.

Giving out back may be better than having the Supreme Court tour up the money til after the election.

Funny side note: I have a neighbor who hoists a new anti-Biden flag every couple weeks. Last week’s was “Joe and the Hoe Gotta Go”. His truck is covered in “Lets Go Brandon” and other anti-Biden stickers and flags.

I truly love this development for him.
You have this on i other no Biden media like Young Turks and cuomo (he is so bitter). I agree on some of their points but it’s clear that large elements of the media want a trump win even if they are “democrats”.

It's been clear for a while that SCOTUS is going to determine the outcome of this election, and who they'll install, unless the Dems win a landslide...which they will make every effort to prevent.

I did a quick check to see what Musk's liquidity looks like, thinking, "hey, maybe he can't really afford to donate 8 figures on a monthly basis."

Nope.

He's got about $5.2B in liquid assets. At $45 million a month, he could afford to keep up that level of donation to Trump for close to 10 years.

When the Supreme Court has approved your 56 billion dollar a year pay packet all you need now is a trump presidency to make sure you don’t pay any taxes on it and to go after any other companies or countries that try to develop AI.

As for the Supreme Court the fastest way is to rule that the 1898 precedent regarding the 14th amendment that anyone born in the US is a citizen is overturned. That kills the dreamers and gives trump the legitimacy to deport them all and ends Harris.

I'm thinking that there is absolutely NO WAY that Trump and Co. agree to any debates with her.

Or, rather, I think it would likely be a massive mistake if they did.

I can't wait to hear them protest and squirm out of the September debate (which they have every right to, and so - will)
Her campaign need to spread the idea that Trump is afraid of a debate with her. That'll give the image of Trump is going to lose a debate with her. So even if Trump refused to debate with her, he'll still be a debate loser.

I read something where one guy said driving a Tesla is like wearing the world's biggest MAGA hat. It's weird that Musk would throw all-in with the party that wants to kill EVs, but removing taxes on his personal income outweighs the income he'll lose from forfeiting vehicle sales by driving away customers. And most of those alienated would-be Tesla customers are going to other manufacturers instead so it's a net plus for the EV industry.

Whatever. Even if I didn't like the Democratic choice I'm certainly not going to vote for the dude who floated the idea of nullying my goddamn US citizenship just because both my parents were immigrants.

Re: [Poll] Will Joe Biden be on the ballot in November? - Nope, Biden's out

This is a weird concept we’re trying—what if, like we *didn’t* have the sitting President go AWOL for 3+ months at the end of each term, but instead had them keep working fullish time while someone else does most of the campaigning?

I know it happens for 2nd-termers, but it sure feels like something that should be the norm.

Also an interesting two months we’ll have with a sitting President with immunity for official acts, who has no worries about reelection and zero fucks left to give. Biden’s too good a dude to abuse it, but I do wonder what we’ll see happen.
