For the millionth time - this won't work. It simply won't.
We also need to start organizing ALL forms of resistance NOW. Occupying federal buildings while armed with the aim of not being disbanded. We need to strike at the economy by not buying things from red states, strike at the political system by getting physically in their faces and not backing down when the pigs show up, strike at the infrastructure by using our bodies to block freeways, train tracks, air travel etc etc etc. We need to protest wall street and sew our balls on and fight whoever comes to crush us.
Get some help. Seriously.

Sure maybe I missed it (not damn likely) but in the big rush to pile on various penalties against women and health care providers I have yet to hear any politician or legislature calling for the expansion of health insurance access for children and mothers, paid family leave, child care subsidies, etc.
All that stuff reeks of Socialism of course. And it's not as fun as prosecuting women or health care workers.

Right. It's been said a million times, but the Republicans have no interest in live children. Just potential children.

I don't think so. I think the high income bracket potential children will find ways to make things nunyabusiness. It's every other potential child that will keep protecting high income bracket culture... Or so they think at this point.

It's NIMBY.
It's also do as I say, not as I do. Countless GOP anti-abortion crusaders have sent their mistresses off for abortions.

In red states that are happy to take federal subsidy injections into their local economies for families desperate for assistance, all the while, crying how horrible they are, spitting on those who take them but feeling owed the votes of those same desperate people, and generally receiving them.

Nope. They will still get abortions. And they won't even be illegal. They'll be in DC.
Two things only the people anxiously desire — bread and circuses.

"Helping them in their time of crisis" = making sure they give birth and then yanking all government support from them (as noted by Carlin)
Martha Raddatz to Gov. Kristi Noem: "The 14 states that have the most restrictive abortion laws, including South Dakota, invest the least in policies and programs for women and children. So what do you mean when you say these mothers will never be alone?"

What happens the first time a woman in one of the fascist states is in imminent danger of dying and the only thing that can save her is an abortion? She doesn't get it and she dies. It seems like the potential for a lawsuit is enormous.
Imagine being a doctor and standing by while someone dies because your hands are tied.

So this was the tragic incident which led to the overturning of the ban on abortion in Ireland. I’m afraid of something similar happening here.
Death of Savita Halappanavar
On 21 October 2012, Halappanavar, then 17 weeks pregnant, was examined at University Hospital Galway after complaining of back pain, but was soon discharged without a diagnosis. She returned to the hospital later that day, this time complaining of lower pressure, a sensation she described as feeling "something coming down," and a subsequent examination found that the gestational sac was protruding from her body. She was admitted to hospital, as it was determined that miscarriage was unavoidable, and several hours later, just after midnight on 22 October, her water broke but did not expel the fetus.[8]: 22–26 [8]: 29 [9] The following day, on 23 October, Halappanavar discussed abortion with her consulting physician but her request was promptly refused, as Irish law at that time forbade abortion if a fetal heartbeat was still present.[8]: 33 [10] Afterwards, Halappanavar developed sepsis and, despite doctors' efforts to treat her, had a cardiac arrest at 1:09 AM on 28 October, at the age of 31, and died.

In Ireland, it changed hearts and minds.
Here, the hospital will just settle with the family for a bazillion dollars (unless their lawyers can figure out how to bury the family in paperwork and appeals for years and hope they go away). The doctor will quietly change jobs or retire. If it's a small hospital and/or in a poor/rural area, they may get rid of their OB/GYN department entirely and not bother with all those "womenfolk" problems any more.

Judge blocks Louisiana's trigger law.A Louisiana judge has blocked the state's abortion "trigger law" banning the procedure at any stage of pregnancy.
The controversial law, which was passed in 2006, makes no exceptions in cases of rape or incest.
...
On Monday, Orleans Parish Civil District Court Judge Robinson Giarruso temporarily blocked enforcement of the Louisiana law and set a hearing for 8 July.
A lawsuit filed Monday morning by the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of local abortion providers argued that trigger bans "lack constitutionally required safeguards to prevent arbitrary enforcement" and are "void for vagueness".
Good. I suspect even most Republicans are going to want to revisit many of these laws now that they're more than just red meat for the base.
edit -
Utah's law blocked as well.A Utah judge has blocked a state law that banned elective abortions in the state in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade last week.
Judge Andrew Stone sided with the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah and the ACLU of Utah during a hearing Monday afternoon.

It’s time for state courts to grapple with abortion and reproductive rights. They haven’t had to in many cases. It’s a chance to develop a stronger legal doctrine behind Roe because the Supreme Court’s analysis is pretty weak.

Surely you can't compel a hospital to violate state law. Also the state issues the licenses, break the state law, get shut down and possibly do time. Seems like a fairly decent defense against a civil suit.
Women's health providers will leave these states and the quality of care will decline significantly. But hey, it's only
women's health, right? That's what the venerable Supreme Court says.

On the other hand....
And the ruling on Friday unleashed a gusher of Democratic donations: $20.5 million that day on ActBlue, the Democratic online donation-processing platform. It was the single biggest day for contributions on the site since 2020, according to a New York Times analysis. By late Tuesday morning, a total of more than $50 million had been processed since the decision came out on Friday.
This could definitely be going worse for the Democrats.

More and more stories being shared online about doctors or hospital systems that are confronting the new reality:
Kansas City area health system stops providing Plan B in Missouri because of abortion ban
Saint Luke’s has a significant presence across Kansas City, operating 16 hospitals and campuses across the region, in both Kansas and Missouri. In a statement, Saint Luke’s spokesperson Laurel Gifford said the health system continues to evaluate the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade and Missouri’s abortion ban, which went into effect following the decision.
“To ensure we adhere to all state and federal laws—and until the law in this area becomes better defined—Saint Luke’s will not provide emergency contraception at our Missouri-based locations,” Gifford said in a statement.
The new policy may add to fears that Missouri’s abortion ban will eventually affect access to the birth control. Contraceptives, including Plan B, remain legal in Missouri and there have been no reports of pharmacies refusing to sell them in the wake of the ban.

My mom, who is really religious, has been unusually quiet on the subject of Roe being overturned. I suspect that it's in no small part because she's currently having to take care of my niece 3 days a week and being reminded that taking care of an infant is a full-time job.

There are now some anecdotal reports popping up on Twitter of female patients with autoimmune conditions being denied refills of meds like Methotrexate, because it can be an abortifacent. Even though women of childbearing age are required to be on birth control to even take these meds, rheumatology departments in red states don't want to get sued for murder if a patient does accidentally get pregnant and miscarries while on this drug.
