often referred to by his nickname, The White Death, was a Finnish military sniper in World War II during the 1939-1940 Winter War against the Soviet Union. He used a Finnish-produced M/28-30, a variant of the Mosin–Nagant rifle. Häyhä had also used a submachine gun, the Suomi KP/-31. He is believed to have killed over 500 men during the Winter War, the highest number of sniper kills in any major war.

Seems staged or fake. That's an AR pattern rifle (Sig MCX?), and not a cheap one at that. Not standard issue for Ukraine fighters and not a lot of ammo floating around for it there.

Don't doubt that she is serving but it looks like a press photo.

It's totally a PR picture. The Dutch angle framing of the shot gives it away to me. They are creating a feelings campaign and they've been waging a very effective communications strategy overall.

The "Kadyrovite General" referenced in the video is apparently Magomed Tushaev, a Chechen general close to Ramzan Kadyrov. There are reports that Tushaev was killed in an assault on Antonov airport, northwest of Kyiv. If true, the elite Kadyrovtsy fighters that Kadyrov loaned out to Putin are not off to a good start.

I wonder how much of that is down to the translation of Ukrainian/Russian idioms or expressions into English. There could be a lot of variations of "We're going to fuck you up!" that may not translate that well.

She's just skipped ahead in the script by a few years. At some point a Trumpublican USA would do to Canada what Russia is doing to Ukraine. The right Canadians will need to be liberated from the wrong Canadians, and once the American forces are here it will of course be necessary to keep the oil and other natural resources. Besides, as climate change continues its inexorable advance America will eventually require lebensraum and expanding south will not be an option.

The thing is, that exact sentiment is what Putin used as pretext for marching on Ukraine. She praises Zelenskyy and then uses Putin's invasion logic. It's just babble that pleases a certain segment.
