This is all about protecting the grift. An active IRS will decrease the deficit by finding tax cheats. Why protect them and avoid collecting revenue? President Trump, Senator Cruz and everyone else at CPAC have millions of personal reasons to fight against audits.

The first is the above story. The latter was actually a good piece. It shows he is at least bringing in experts to bounce ideas off of. What can he actually do about the problems? It's hard to say but the DOJ is in the center of a lot of it.

He actually laughed after Beto said AR 15s were designed to penetrate helmets at 500 feet and knock a man down. I'm not saying the MF wasn't dead on but I'm getting pissed at this Twitter reinterpretation of everything. It stands on its own, why muddle it for effect?

I don't get this take. How is it inaccurate? Beto was clearly talking about the massacre for that entire segment. It wasn't like he went to another topic and then swung around to AR-15s. From beginning to end he was talking about Uvalde including relating the impact of the availability of these weapons to Uvalde. Maybe he was laughing 'huh huh penetrate' but that doesn't make it any less inappropriate or the idea that the guy was laughing during a discussion of the massacre any less accurate.

It's Twitter sensationalism. Just post the video without framing it. It works just fine.

It's not that tweet in particular, it was just the one too far yesterday.
