Or running for office while not in the White House. But intimidation through litigation and threatened litigation is the GOP playbook on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th downs. It's all they know and Dawnie is their king. SUE!!! SUE!!!!

Well, seeing as Biden isn't running for anything...The federal equal time rule requires broadcasters to treat a candidate for the same political office identically to every other candidate for that office.

It's almost as if people are the problem.

It’s the ‘democrats can’t replace Biden’ court cases they want to run.
They hope they can get a friendly circuit judge to ban Harris or keep Biden then delay it as long as possible so they win by default because the state will print the ballot anyway.
And with the new Supreme Court they just need to get one of their insane theories to stick.

campaign donations aside, these are private political parties and they are allowed to pick their own candidates and nominate them in what ever fashion they may think America would find attractive and satisfying (or not) - there is no law that can force the democratic party to run a particular candidate. Legally defining Harris as unqualified is the only door.

This part makes no sense as the qualification for Vice President are the same, and she has already been elected to that office.Unagi wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 10:14 am campaign donations aside, these are private political parties and they are allowed to pick their own candidates and nominate them in what ever fashion they may think America would find attractive and satisfying (or not) - there is no law that can force the democratic party to run a particular candidate. I agree completely, there is no door there. I was just saying that's really the only thing the Supreme Court could have a say on (a candidate's qualifications).Jaymann wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 10:35 amThis part makes no sense as the qualification for Vice President are the same, and she has already been elected to that office.Unagi wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 10:14 am campaign donations aside, these are private political parties and they are allowed to pick their own candidates and nominate them in what ever fashion they may think America would find attractive and satisfying (or not) - there is no law that can force the democratic party to run a particular candidate. Agree. Last year I believe they ranked him #14 or thereabouts. With more perspective, he'll crack the top 10.Grifman wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:58 pm

That will hinge on who's writing the history books.Kraken wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 4:41 pmAgree. Last year I believe they ranked him #14 or thereabouts. With more perspective, he'll crack the top 10.Grifman wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:58 pm

I don't know if I could have sat and watched it, as I would still be worried he'd say something to make the news.Grifman wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:58 pm A great man, who saved the Republic in 2020, and has done his best to save it again in 2024. Historians will judge him favorably.

As an aside, I hear Harris is a bit slurry lately.

I don't follow that 'Geezus' reply to my statement, could you help me understand that?

I dunno about today or yesterday but her words sounded a little slurred when she addressed the UAW down the road from my house last week. It was in a link upthread a bit. Means little to me. I can't say for sure what it means for anyone who is legit independent as opposed to IINO.Unagi wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:47 amI don't follow that 'Geezus' reply to my statement, could you help me understand that?
