Clive Sinclair, creator of the pocket calculator and the ZX Spectrum personal computer, has passed away at age 81.

Sinclair's daughter, Belinda Sinclair, announced the news earlier today, saying that Sinclair's passing came after a long battle with illness.

The ZX Spectrum was home to games like Lords of Midnight, Knight Lore, and Dizzy, whose developer Codemasters is still around today. Many game developers in the U.K grew up playing games on the Spectrum, and still have fond memories of games like the adventure titles produced by developers like Rochdale Balrog (AKA John Wilson, who passed away last year).

Anthony "AJ" Johnson, an actor and comedian best known for his performance as Ezal in "Friday," has died, his representative LyNea Bell told CNN Monday. He was 55.

Beyond his memorable performance in the 1995 hit film "Friday," Johnson also appeared in "House Party," "Menace II Society," "Lethal Weapon 3," "The Players Club" and "B.A.P.S" His television credits include "Martin" and "Malcolm & Eddie."

His "Friday" co-star Ice Cube took to Twitter to pay tribute, writing, "Sad to wake up to the news about AJ Johnson passing away. Naturally funny dude who was straight outta Compton at the same time. Sorry I couldn't bring your character Ezal back to the big screen in Last Friday..."

Tom Morey, the creator of the Boogie Board and an influential figure in the surfing world, has died due to complications from a stroke, according to his family. He was 86.
"It was Morey who introduced more human beings to the act of wave riding than any other single person in history," said Jim Kempton, president of the California Surf Museum. "That's quite an accomplishment if you think about it, millions and millions of people have ridden waves, and I would say that a huge number of them started out on his inventions."

Chris Ayres, perhaps best known as Frieza’s English language voice actor, has passed away. Besides the iconic Dragon Ball character, Ayres also voiced Kei Kurono in Gantz, and Shingen Takeda in Sengoku Basara. He was 56 years old.

Ayres took over the Frieza role in Dragon Ball Z Kai, and voiced the character in Dragon Ball Super, as well as in the feature anime films Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F and Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Ayres was a tremendous talent and did an excellent job with Frieza.

Actress Tawny Kitaen, who appeared in "Bachelor Party" and provocative 1980s rock videos, has died in California. She was 59.

Kitaen -- whose real first name was Julie -- died Friday at home in Newport Beach, according to a release from the Orange County Coroner's Office. The cause of death is not yet known.

Kitaen died due to dilated cardiomyopathy, a type of heart disease, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday, USA Today reported.

She also had mild coronary atherosclerosis and had a variety of medications in her system at the time, including mirtazapine, alprazolam, acetaminophen, pregabalin and hydrocodone.

Peter Scolari, a veteran actor who rose to fame alongside Tom Hanks on "Bosom Buddies," died Friday morning.
Scolari had cancer and had been ill for two years, his manager Ellen Lubin Sanitsky told CNN. He was 66.
Scolari appeared in numerous films and television series over the years, including "Newhart," "Murphy Brown," and "The Good Fight." He won an Emmy in 2016 for his portrayal of Hannah's father Tad Horvath on "Girls."

"Bosom Buddies" was on the air for two seasons at ABC. On the show, Scolari and Hanks dressed as women in order to move into an affordable women-only residence. The two actors remained good friends in real life, with Scolari saying in an interview for Oprah Winfrey that Hanks toasted him at his wedding.
