A quarter of the members of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, whose purview includes national cybersecurity, have resigned. In a group resignation letter, they cited both specific shortfalls in the administration’s approach to cybersecurity, and broader concerns that Trump and his administration have undermined the “moral infrastructure” of the U.S.

And Mexico responds in kind that same day

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/weather ... aked-texas
Mexico offered to help Texas deal with the disaster, "as good neighbors should always do in trying times."

On Sunday evening, Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott spoke by telephone.

Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, the Mexican consul general in Austin, said he has been in constant communication with the governor's office to determine how Mexico can best help.

"As we have done in the past, Mexico stands with Texas in this difficult moment," Gonzalez said.

Twelve years ago, following Hurricane Katrina, Mexico sent troops and a vessel filled with food, medicine and water to aid victims in New Orleans.

How high a wall can you build with one vessel's worth of food, medicine, and water?

What are the odds President Dipshit tries to claim that Mexico's aid to Texas is their reimbursement for the wall and thus a victory for him?

Just another day in reality-TV land.

Trump Punishes Longtime Aide After Angry Phoenix Speech
As his surrogates warmed up the audience, the expanse of shiny concrete eventually filled in with cheering Trump fans. But it was too late for a longtime Trump aide, George Gigicos, the former White House director of advance who had organized the event as a contractor to the Republican National Committee. Trump later had his top security aide, Keith Schiller, inform Gigicos that he’d never manage a Trump rally again, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Gigicos, one of the four longest-serving political aides to the president, declined to comment.

Even by his standards, Trump was remarkably strident in Phoenix. After introductory speakers, including Vice President Mike Pence, lauded him for his commitment to racial harmony, the president came on stage and lambasted the media for what he called inaccurate reporting on his remarks about violence between hate groups and counterprotesters in Charlottesville, Virginia.

This explains why he immediately claimed it was 15,000, three times the capacity of the venue.

At his press conference, Trump just humble-bragged about how we (he) wouldn't congratulate ourselves (himself) until the great and tremendous relief job we're doing so well is all finished.

It was a freakishly un-empathetic performance. I didn't see the whole thing, but people are reporting that he didn't have even a word for the people still suffering and still in grave danger.

To be fair, he WAS elected with a lot of focus on this wall (despite his nonsense about Mexico paying for it). I don't have a huge problem with it being built, even if it is stupid and won't solve the underlying problem. But he has to pay for it, not gut other things for it. Sometimes paying for things requires taxes and/or bonds, and infrastructure like this in particular.

If only this were real, I would love watching the heads explode.
The U.S. Army has received approval from the president to rename nearly a dozen bases after many petitioned the service to change the names of posts that honor Confederate generals, sources confirmed today.

Ten bases, including Fort Hood in Texas and Fort Bragg in North Carolina, will have their names changed in honor of President Donald Trump, the service said. Fort Hood, for example, will be renamed to Fort Trump, while Fort Bragg will be rebranded as Fort Trump International Airborne Barracks and Jump Tower.

Yeah, it's being reported here (the first link in your picture):
"What a crowd, what a turnout," Trump said to a crowd of several hundred people surrounding a fire station, according to a White House pool report.

The president reportedly spoke from a ladder between two fire trucks.

"Thank you," Trump said to cheers.

What's more, while he did praise the responders and rescue workers, and he said some things about devastation and effort, he failed to even mention the victims: no words of support, no promise of aid, no encouragement.

He thought he was at a fucking campaign rally.
