Continuing my survey of new old school RPG titles we have:



The demo lasts a couple hours and takes you to the end of chapter 1. I like the exploration and simple puzzles. The combat can toggle between turn based and real time. The only negative comment I saw was that the main protagonist is gay. Doesn't bother me. Will purchase on full release.

It is out and on sale for $16.99. Playing now. Since I played the demo I am familiar with the first chapter. Enjoying so far.

I am into Chapter 3 now and still loving it. My two main characters are now teamed up. I found a spot where the enemies respawn and I can get unlimited rest, so I am a happy camper.

I'm deep into Chapter 4, and at level 35 feeling pretty badass. Unfortunately I ran into an irritating bug. Not game stopping, but I missed out on a cave with gold. There were some bandits in there, and whenever I got to the third round it froze on me. I tried different attacks and spells but after 3 - 4 tries gave it up.

I finished the game. It was much longer than I expected for this type of game. 56.4 hours. By the end I had regen and was OP. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it since it froze during battle on me two more times. Fortunately all three were in optional areas, but still. For that I give it 4/8 shards.
