Stream Deck

Post by Montag »

Any Stream Deck users here? I have a Elgato Stream Deck Mk 2. It is a fun little toy and I have yet to unlock its full potential. I like to use it for hot keys for games. Pretty substantial community with plug-ins out there.

I love it but use it mostly for games. I've dabbled with the desktop and some utilities but haven't really had the time to go deep.

The same here. What plug-ins are you using? What resources do you use to find the answers you need?

I have just started and have added Super Macro for the multi-button commands. Disappointed this is not supported with the stock program. I am now trying to figure out how to do something for cool downs:

Press buttion
*start timer
**toggle button image
**execute multi action
*toggle image back after time expired

I got one for Christmas a few years ago. I use it daily, mostly to control background tasks when I'm gaming. I've got a set of Spotify-specific controls, the controls for the main function in Nvidia Shadowplay (record, show FPS, clip last six minutes), a stopwatch, etc.

It's easy enough to set up specific games on other 'pages' if I'm playing one that justifies it.

I just got a Stream Deck XL mostly for Helldivers Stratagems. I need to figure out what other cool things I can do with it. :)

Flight sims? You can even get 3D-printed housings to mount it with other flight controllers.

Some more involved examples of how people have used them in sims:
