Fyre Festival 2 is a go

Post by McNutt »

Get your tickets now.

Tickets range from $1,400 to $1,100,000. What you get for that money is entirely vague and there are no confirmed music acts yet, even though some of the ticket packages include staying "amongst the artists and other performing talent." The festival is in two months.

I can't imagine anyone buying a ticket for this, and, if you do, I have zero sympathy after it ends in disaster.

Had no idea what you were talking about. Had to look it up. The idea that there could be a 2 and by the same person is just crazy.

Cant wait to see their posts crying about how they've been stranded with no VOSS water and were forced to eat sandwiches that were not gluten-free.

There will be no entertainment worth the ticket price. Since they really don't have anything to advertise, the only thing they can do to drum up buzz is to go with the same infamous name.

Because the disaster is part of the spectacle. All the youtubers/tokers/etc will go to get spectacle. They don't care if it's a grand festival or a catastrophic train-wreck. Fyre kind of guarantees if it's not the former, it will be the latter.

Which is why I'm hoping for a perfectly acceptable but completely standard music festival.

As the Chicago area ticket reseller for Fyre Festival 2 I can assure you that this event will be monumental. We've got:

1) A Robert Goulet impersonator
2) A Charo impersonator
3) A Foo Fighters cover band from Lithuania
4) Corn Hole Tournaments
5) Mark Wahlberg

I would highly recommend bumping your purchase to the 5000 dollar level. I don't wanna give all the perks away, so I'll just say this: sandwiches WITH bread.

Are the rumors true that there's going to be an advance screening of the Paste Pot Pete movie at the festival? If so put me down for a double Prometheus.

I’m saying they’re the ones that will buy the tickets. The documentaries on the first one highlighted how many went the first time because it was the happening thing, and it was where they were going to be seen.

The funny thing is that the celebs that were going to take place in the first one had all bailed once they realized just how futile it was, so by the time attendees arrived, there was absolutely nothing for them, and they all had to find their own way back to civilization. This all reeks of a 'Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, type of scenario." I mean, this thing was highly publicized and called out as a sham.

I loved those skits because apparently John Mulaney would change the script on Bill Hader so that he never quite knew what was coming while reading his lines off the cue cards. Seeing Hader's Stefon crack up while reading the more outrageous lines was worth the price of admission.

There is a non-zero chance that they are aware of all the plans that have actually been made for the festival. :coffee:
