Field of Glory II

Do any of you play this game? If so how do you effectively play the Hussites with their War Wagons?

Thanks!

I haven't played in a long while, I don't remember if I tried the Hussites with their War Wagons. You could go over to the Slitherine site and ask in their forum.

I fired up Field of Glory II Medieval, of which I have played very little, being more of an Ancients guy myself. I tried out the Hussites and their War Wagons. It took a while to understand facing and I never did figure out laagering, but it didn't matter since my opponents in the custom battle I rolled up just waited for me to move against them . It seems to me that the best tactic for the War Wagons is to set them up in a line with a space in between each one. I filled the spaces with light troops which I then moved forward. I tried to entice the enemy line to attack my light troops who would evade back through the spaces between the war wagons, drawing the enemy into range of the wagons.

I'll have to consider spending some time on FoG2M, but first I'm now motivated to go fire up the original FoG2 and put some serious time into the "Swifter than Eagles" DLC, of which I've only done a few battles.

I find I can actually win with the Hussites. It takes a little while to figure out how the wagons work (which way the cannons are firing) and that the troops they carry can be used independently. I can always kill the enemies armies but don't necessarily win the battle because I'm not aggressive enough.
