Weekend Gamer: 4/29 - 5/1 ... what's on your agenda?

Post by Goonch »

If the rain holds off here for Saturday, I have a s**t load of yardwork to do. Otherwise, it will be indoor projects such as putting up shelving in the garage. Despite the fact that we are able to keep both our cars in the garage, the garage is one big clutter closet. It's Mission Organization!

Gaming wise, Sam Fisher has won my heart. Splinter Cell CT has me by the cahones. What a great game. Maybe I am enjoying it so much because the SC franchise is so new to me. Chaos Theory is the first for me.

I will also try to put in some time with Soldiers: Heroes of WW2. I want to try out some mods that I downloaded and installed recently.

What's up for your weekend?

Mostly studying for finals, but I hope to cram a few games of MVP '05 with the roomies in. Time to break in that new Saitek gamepad!

EQ2 (must......make......50.....weaponsmith!)

Other than that need to work on any/all of the following:

SW:KOTOR 2
Half Life 2
Freedom Force vs. Third Reich
SWAT 4
Doom 3 expansion

Doubt I'll get a whole lot done, though. Got a lot of yardwork/errands to do this weekend.

I'm still playing Civ 2: Test of Time but I may try to play some X-com after reading the brutequad threads.

But I do have plenty of yardwork and indoor cleaning to accomplish before I game too much.

I picked up the Paradox Strategy 6-Pack this week. I never played any of Paradox's games. (just slide under my radar) I imagine I will try Hearts of Iron or Europa Universalis II first this weekend

Hopefully I'll get a chance to play either some World at War or some Jade Empire. Perhaps if I'm feeling saucy I'll play some Phantom Brave, but there's a fair chance that I'll get sucked into playing Mount and Blade at least a few times.

Hopefully in that order.

* Soldiers - Heroes of WW2 (in love with this one)

* OOTP6 (just got it last night)

* SWAT 4

Those are the ones I'll be heavily into, but I'll also dabble with World at War (learning it slowly), Empire Earth 2, and Combat Mission.

KOTOR 2 and Heretic Kingdoms this weekend is what I am planning on playing (same as last week). Morrowind somehow convinced me to start a new character a couple of days ago, and I fear my RPG gaming may be sidetracked yet again from my newer games, but I'm sure that I'll at least get some KOTOR 2 in.

On the non-RPG front, I may play some Rome: Total War. I'd be surprised if I actually get to it, though. Hopefully the weather is nice and I'll be outside a bit. I want to get some soccer games in with the kids (the graphics in that game are photo-realistic, but the difficulty level is low).

I'll be racing in a Saturday morning Grand Prix Legends league event then I will be working on my stage time for my Rally Trophy offline league event. Saturday afternoon will either be Empire Earth II or Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich. Not sure about Sunday yet....I'll go wherever the gaming gods take me.

I tell myself I'll try to work on learning to play World at War better. But suspect I'll let myself get derailed by Mount&Blade like I did last weekend

Yet even more Far Cry. I'm near the end of "Cooler". Have a busy weekend though. Might be able to play tonight. No possibility at all tomorrow. Only likely night is Sunday.

OOTP6, as always. Savage if we can get a game together. Rome: Total War and Morrowind round it out. Mix in beers and maybe a party or two.

Guild Wars and Mount & Blade will be sucking up all of my gaming time I'm guessing. I still need to finish up SWAT4 and Freedom Force vs TTR but I'm doubting that will happen this weekend.

I'm sure the wife has some housely duties for me to perform as well. Ugh.

Seeing all the yard work posts reaffirms my choice of living in a condo. I work half a day Sat. but after that it will be sinking more tonnage in SH3. This time I hope to make it past 1941. Still have to get back to DX2 sometime.

I'll probably play some Heroes of Might & Magic 3 random map again, as well as some of my console backlog - probably finish MGS3 again, or continue Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
My smile still stays on.

Just picked up Stella Dues for PS2, I love Atlus SRPG's too much to pass it up.

Probably going to practice some UT2004, hopefully with Red Fox, and I'll fill in the gaps with WoW.

Finishing Heretic Kingdoms; maybe starting as a new character if I finish early enough. Otherwise, making some progress in NWN Kingmaker.

edit = while giving Charlie Jade one last chance on Saturday night.

Well, I just finished Jade Empire tonight, so probably some Guild Wars, SWAT 4 and one or two of my X-Box Backlog. OH yeah, and a trip to the movies also. Gotta play catchup with the flicks.

Lovely. But hey, my new lan/game center will be ready in a couple weeks, THAT will rock.
