Help me decide

Post by Silky »

Hello all,

Please help me decide on a new PC game. I am currently in a little bit of a gaming rut after my week long love fest with Mount & Blade. I generally dislike RTS and FPS games and prefer strategy and role playing. Some of the things in my gogamer wishlist queue follows:

Pirates
Star Wolves
Black and White Deluxe
Nexus
Chaos League

Thanks for your help,
Silky

Wow, the only one I've played (and know much about) is Black & White. I'm slipping big time.

B&W is a fun little sandbox game. Your first 10 hours or so are a blast. It gets a bit samey after a while but it's a game you really should experience (and I think with the Deluxe edition going for $19.99 or so it's worth it). Eventually I had a ton of fun just leaving it running all day and coming back to see what damage my pet had done. Suprisingly, he was a really good little guy and only ate a few villagers a day.

I still have great fun with Chaos League, but that's coming from a guy who organized Blood Bowl tournaments in college. Your milage may vary.

Thanks for the recommendations all. I picked up Pirates, Nexus, Black and White Deluxe, and Chaos League. In a moment of weakness however I got Guild Wars on the way home from work yesterday. I guess I would rather have a back burner than a rut.

Edited to change Blood Bowl to Chaos League
