Dhruin, I was wondering if anyone else reported to you about having problems visiting your website? It started a couple of weeks ago and has remained broken since. Basically, I can get your site, but I can't scroll using the mousewheel or pushing up or down on the arrow keys. I have to either click on a hotlink to go to the news item, or drag the scrollbar down. Also, when I click on a link to visit another site (i.e. to look at screenshots or read a review or interview, etc.), my browser will lock-up and I'll have to kill it in task manager. All drivers are up-to-date. I'm using the latest version of Firefox, but it's also busted using IE. I've run my spamkillers, disk defragmenters, cleanups and virus scanners. My system seems fine and I have no issues with any of my other favorite sites. Any ideas? Thanks, and I do enjoy the site.

I've noticed that my Firefox browser will eat up 100% of the CPU at times at RPGdot over the last few weeks. I usually just do a quick scan and then hit the back button. Opening menus and scrolling take forever, but eventually happen. Maybe we're having a similar problem?

I've noticed the same thing, and it always crashes if I click on the Random Screenshot. I assumed it was Firefox, but I guess it's not.

Yes - it's the $!@#!! Guild Wars Flash ads served by Jolt. The same thing happens to me and it's very frustrating. Until the ads go away or the issue is resolved, Adblock is the best answer, although Internet Explorer seems to fair better for most.

I want to pursue this further but one of the problems is I haven't been able to find a definitive answer. For me, Firefox is unusable (without Adblock) and IE is dodgy - but many others report no problems with one or the other. I posted on MozillaZine asking if there were problems with either FF and/or the Flash plugin that might be relevant but I only got generalised answers.

If anyone knows anything specific about the FF plugin or exactly what the ad might be doing so I can take that information to Jolt, I would really appreciate it.

I just got FlashBlock and it works like a charm. Thanks for the help; I was avoiding your site for a while now and I don't have to anymore. Excellent! Thank God I didn't try using Opera; I heard it would kill your dog every time you tried to visit RPGDot.

Ok, but how do I get Adblocker to work? I went to the site and installed it but it never shows up under "Tools" after I restart Firefox like they say it should. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Under certain ads, you'll see a box that says "Adblock". Click that box and it will display the location of the ad that is to be blocked. Click "Ok" and the ad will disappear. The ads on RPGDot didn't have that for me, so I got the FlashBlock extension.

Opera 7 is problematic. Opera 8 works much better. Disable PlugIns and the problem is solved.

I just stuck the Opera comment in there for Zaxxon, if he had happened to read the thread .
