Help Crux Name This Game!

Post by Crux »

So the 'old underated games' thread got me thinking about an old, old basketball game I remember playing when I was a kid. I would have played it sometime between 1988 and 1992. It was a mixture management/sim style game, with a career-style play whereby you could play season after season.

A few details I can remember:

1. During the game, there would be three 'segments' to the court. When the ball was at either end, you would get a view from the halfway line looking towards the basket. However, when the ball was around the middle of the court, you'd get a side-on view.

2. You 'controlled' the players only on a very fundamental level. You could basically tell the guy when to shoot or pass, and kind of guide where to... but certainly no fine control. It was definitely more of a 'management' style of game.

If anyone remembers the game I'm talking about, I'd appreciate their recollections!!!!

Wasn't that just a 2-on-2 game? Or am I thinking of the wrong one?

My favorite classic basketball game? TV Sports Basketball. That game devoured my entire sophomore year in high school.
