how is dos-box recently?

I had tried it out quite a while ago, and while Crusader:NR worked, it went slowly, even with tweaking. Before I go and try it out, help me with the lazy route to discovery and tell me how the recent dos-box builds are nowadays. For example, does Crusader run more smoothly? Thanks!

Haven't tried to play that. I was able to get Command and Conquer and Red Alert to work flawlessly. But I struggled and never got Tie Fighter to work correctly. I either couldn't get any sound, or I would get choppy video. Couldn't figure out how to get acceptable performance for audio and video at the same time.

Talk about a game that's just begging for a remake with the latest DX9 bells and whistles...

I finally got Tie Fighter to work, but FORGET about getting it to work in 640x480...my comp is too slow I suppose. Been trying to get Millennia: Altered Destinies to work, but to no avail. Shame, really.
