how many games on your pc?
I just noticed my hard drive was full and had to delete something just so I could patch my game. I thought Id never fill this thing up when i got it. I looked and Ive got 18 games installed right now! My god what was I thinking. Ive gotten to where I play a bunch at a time and never finish them. Its got to the point where when I want to play it again I have to start over from the beginning ebcause Ive forgotten how to play it.

I have about 5 not counting emulators and roms. And two of those I don't play (can't find the time to learn how to Play Civ 3). I'm trying to limit my gaming because it's taking too much of my time and since I started my latest job I don't have time for anything else. I'm proud to say that I haven't touched a game since the beginning of the week. But yeah, like someone else said, I've been running low on space too. So many things installed it's not funny.
My smile still stays on.

Eight up until yesterday:
Morrowind
Warhammer 40k: Dawn Of War
Guild Wars
Out Of The Park Baseball 6
Rome: Total War
Savage
Tropico 2
Half-Life 2 (by extension HL2: Counterstrike, etc.)
Yesterday I installed:
Dungeon Keeper 2
Rise Of Nations
Total Annihilation
Total Annihilation: Kingdoms
Tropico
WarCraft 2
WarCraft 3
Zeus
And I plan on installing about 30 more over the next month. So that would be a total of around 50 which is my All Time Keeper list. (Even though some, like Zeus, I never played and others like WC3 I never really liked. It's more for the franchise.) No real reason, just figured I should finally play some of the games I haven't touched in years, if ever.

That's actually one of my favorite citybuilders, and I'm sort of an afficianado. It achilles heel is the same that afflicts so many Poptop games -- its dependency on scenarios, and too much similarity between them. I wish they'd do a T3 that fully implements some of the underused T2 features (specifically the RPG character-development aspects).JonathanStrange wrote:Tropico 2? Oh, and to answer the question: I have 8 games installed. Only 3 of them are "active". The rest will be deleted if I ever need the hard drive space.

HL2 (almost everything on the silver package)
Republic Commando
Homeworld
Homeworld:Cataclysm
Homeworld 2
Brothers In Arms
Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection
Zoo Tycoon 2
Jedi Academy
Jedi Outcast
Far Cry
Deus Ex:Invisible War
Halo:Combat Evolved
plus a slew of demos
I need to figure out how to uninstall some of the HL2 stuff because I've "finished" it and don't see going back (i.e. opposing force, HL1). I looked for an uninstall option and searched the site but can't find a definitive answer. I want to just delete the game dir but can't assume it's that easy.

Whatever latest Civ game is (currently Civ 3 + Conquests)
The latest Star Wars based space "sim" - currently Xwing Alliance (with graphics/texture upgrades)
(one form of the above has been on my various computers HD since the original "X Wing" and Civilization came out)
Others:
Some Impressions city builder game (Caesar III, Zeus, Pharoah, etc)
At least one AAA FPS title (currently HL2)
At least one RPG - (currently Morrowind)
At least one flight sim (currently Pacific Fighters)

Until my last hdd died I had an insane number if I counted each VP pinball table I had installed (I had probably like 200 tables). I have yet to reinstall VP as I've been enjoying ProPinball a lot lately after giving it a break for awhile.
Right now I would guess I have probably 20 games total installed if you count expansions and/or sequels.

Open up Steam, go to Play Games, right-click a game, go to Properties, then Delete Local Game Content. All set.shaggydoug wrote: I need to figure out how to uninstall some of the HL2 stuff because I've "finished" it and don't see going back (i.e. opposing force, HL1). Wow, this thread really surprised me. I never would have believed so many people have so few games installed at a time. Since I first owned a computer in 1993, I doubt I've ever had less than 20 games installed, and that was only due to lack of hard drive space back then. On days when I don't work, I play about 10 or so different games each day. I can't believe some people don't even have that many installed. Am I the only one who does this?

i tend to focus on only one or two games at a time, but i've built up a long list because i don't uninstall them when i'm done. it's nice being able to go back to old games any time you want, or having them available for someone else to check out once in a while 8)Greg Wak wrote:I guess i'm the only one who plays one game at a time. Firstly I want to see how a game ends and if I play too many at once I loose my thread and what I'm trying to do. Plus I forget some keyboard commands. I realize that sims and some rts's never really end. I'm just a one at a time kinda guy.

I'm a one-game-at-a-time kind of guy (play 'em 'till I'm done.) My newer rig died a couple of weeks ago, so I dropped back to an old (450 Mhz, 96 MB, 1GB drive) system I cobbled together out of parts and looked at my backlog. Never played Myth, so there you have it.Jaymann wrote:I can understand only having one game installed, but that seems a rather esoteric choice.sgoldj wrote:Myth II: Soulblighter
After that...... Jagged Allience 2, I think.
Drives my wife crazy since I don't 'need' to fix my newer rig. I'll wait until the Athlon 64 CPU/MB combos are in my range. The blessings of an huge backlog. But it does leave Planescape and Alien v.Preditor on hold until I fix it.
