On average, how many hours a week do you spend playing computer and/or console games? Just curious.
Edit: hmm, I'm now thinking that my scale may not be sensitive enough. We may get a bit of a ceiling effect here.

Back in the mid 90's, I was in the 30+ range.
When Duke Nukem 3D came out with the 'Build' editor, that number shot up to maybe 50, though I don't really count editing as gaming.
Ironically, now that I have more free time, I game less, maybe 10 hours/week.

If I count playing console games with my son, I'm in the 20+ club, otherwise about 8 hours a week.
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

I game after I put my youngest to bed. So I'm in the 20+.
My 13 yeard old love to IM and chat with her friends at night about what they did that day, my wife will read a book (since that's her quiet time), and I'll game. I don't watch alot of TV, and I'm not reading a book ATM, so I'm busy saving the citizens of Paragon City.

Between 0 to maybe 8 if there is a game I am really into (recent example: Jade Empire). Last night I played for around 2 hours (Psychonauts), but that is the first time I had fired up a game in 3 weeks. I tend to have "no play" droughts like that for a few weeks at a time, which makes finishing games difficult these days.
When the sun goes out, we'll have eight minutes to live.

About 3 hours a night on work days, more on weekends. How much more depends on whether I have new game that I really like or not. Recently I do - I've been playing Guild Wars like crazy - it says I've played more than 100 (I hit 100hrs the other day) for the 30 days I've had the game. That amounts to 25 hours a week for Guild Wars alone. I've also been playing some Mercenaries on the PS2 every now and then. So probably about 28 hours a week.
My smile still stays on.

Very little any more, I'm afraid. The only game I've been playing since I bought it is Battlefield 2. I've had it, what, a month now? I've put in MAYBE 25 hours, all told.
Hopefully once school starts I'll have a little more gaming time. I've been itching to dive back into an RPG that I've already completed--BG2 or Planescape or Fallout, I haven't decided. Hopefully I won't be working this semester, I have no class on Tuesday or Thursday, and I can't study all the time.

I put 16-20, but that's my summertime play time. The rest of the year I'm probably closer to 20+. I don't have to leave for work til 9am, and during the school year the rest of my family leaves the house at about 7:30 so I get an extra hour of gaming in the mornings. This usually fuels my MMORPG desire (I've hardly touched EQ2 this summer).
In the summertime I'm usually doing more family stuff (and watching baseball). The kids stay up later too and I get less game time after they go to bed.
