Troika Games crew returns as Supervillians?

Post by Turtle »

http://www.supervillainstudios.com/

Noticed a few prominent ex Troika Games members at this new studio, it formed just after Troika closed too.

I found it by visiting Chris Glenn's website (ex Troika art director) and noticed he was with a new studio and followed the link.

The new studio is also located in Costa Mesa, well within driving distance from Irvine (although I fear for their sanity with the 405's rush hour traffic). It's also very close to where I live. They already have a publishing deal with Activision for a yet unanounced game. Oh, and they're looking to hire artists, which is what I'm currently studying. ;) Better get my portfolio ready.

The site is really nice though, great design and artwork.

Edit: Okay, maybe not ex troika games, looks like it's just the art director. But there's seriously a lot of talent in the company with lots of ex EA guys. Anyone know what happened to the Troika guys, specifically their writer?

fyi looking on the page " SuperVillain Studios is an officially licensed Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PSP, Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo DS developer." I noticed pc isn't listed. (not that you need to be officially licensed to develop pc games. not yet anyways)

They do mention PC:

Wasn't Leonard Boyarsky Troika's art director?

With a name like Supervillain Studios, I wonder if they're working on Activision's recently-announced Marvel RPG.
