Geforce 3 Ti 200
Thats my current video card. Can I do better for $250.? How hard are they to install? I did a hard drive last week.
You want to know how I did it? This is how I did it, Anton. I never saved anything for the swim back!

Installing video's easy
1) Set your video adaptor to generic VGA
2) Shut down computer
3) Unplug computer
4) Opne computer
5) Remove old video card
6) Install new video card
7) Close computer
8) Boot up computer
9) Install new drivers
10) Reboot and enjoy!
You can get 9700 Pro or even 9800 Pro for $250. I am sure you can't get 6800 but you MAY get a 6600 for $250.

I was doing some shopping and it seems like the general rule of thumb is $400 buys you a high-end top-of-the-line card, and $200 buys you a mid/upper range card. And the midrange cards typically perform better than last generation's upper range cards. So you can definitely upgrade to something nice for $250, possibly something high end if you're willing to wait for Black Friday (and if you have the endurance to wait in line for a few hours for it).
When all is said and done, there's more said than done.
