I am interested in picking up a new game, and I know a lot of people here been playing this sub game they love with some HUGE manual you can order. I was wondering what it was so I could look into it?

I think you're thinking of Dangerous Waters.
I can't imagine, even at my most inebriated, hearing a bouncer offering me an hour with a stripper for only $1,400 and thinking That sounds like a reasonable idea.-Two Sheds

Dangerous Waters by Sonalysts, published by http://www.Battlefront.com who sell it over the web only, I think. Read their forum for lots of info.

** edit - nevermind, found the details and a fix
Some correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there some glaring problem with the way submarine (and other units??) sound modeling was done in this game? I think I remember reading something about there being no difference between units, or no difference between units at speed or running slowly, something like that. I do recall that it struck me as astounding that something like that could be missed.
