Octopus Overlords

I tried to do the nice thing and hook my brother up with a new video card. After uninstalling the previous drivers, I turned it off, put the new card in, and turned it on.


Everything goes great until windows finishes loading. Then the screen goes black and the LED starts blinking, like it's trying to display something that the monitor doesn't support.

I've tried swapping out different video cards and all that, I tried setting it to "PCI" and all that. I really don't know what to do. (I also tried safe mode)

Any suggestions?

Geforce FX 5900 SE

Go back into safe mode and try a monitor driver change.
Or even an uninstall/reinstall of the monitor.

I managed to fix it by using a different monitor.


But just as a note: Safe Mode didn't do anything for me. Same problem happened.
