ok I found a great deal on a mobo and cpu. But I wanted to see what you thought on the motherboard. I won't be using the wifi at least for the moment...

However, this is what I was going to get before seeing this deal...

which do you recommend. If the first one is a good board, I need to make up my mind by Friday...
Need some input on this motherboard (limited on time)

I like the onboard Firewire and Gigabit.
I've never liked Via chipsets after being bit by them repeatedly when running a testing lab (this was a few years ago though, they could be better). I'd be much more likely to go with an NV chipset, but cost could be an issue.
Am wondering why no PCI Express... I would have a tough time buying any new motherboard (esp for 64-bit processor) without it right now. I know it's nice to use the old video card, but you will likely want it before the mobo runs out of usefulness.
After a little research they are proving hard to find (Socket 939 with PCI Express), and Tom's is saying that performance gains aren't that much to warrant (with current software/games).
How long are you planning on utilizing, and what's the purchase timeframe?

Thanks for the input pub.
I have a 9800 pro right now, and I do plan on getting a new card at some point just not sure when. Right now it seems there isn't a big demand on getting PCI express and would probably be ok on holding off one last time. Like you said, there isn't a big difference between the two.
So tomorrow is the last day for this deal, are there any other ideas on these boards, please tell now
