Online Retailer for RJ45 connectors

Post by Peacedog »

. . .and the like.

I need to find one. The local options are Best Buy and Radioshack and are somewhat pricey (Radioshack is packaging connectors in groups of 5 for 5$ a bag. I kid you not). I think there's a circuit city somewhere nearby that might be an option, but much like the fabled Black Fortress in Krull, its location changes at each sunset and thus tracking it down seems like too much effort.

So I'm looking for a good place to get this sort of thing. Be it connectors, or maybe even cables. There really isn't anything good locally, and I was led to believe it would be nice to have something consistent to go to.

Suggestions are thus welcome.

Did you check Lowe's/Home Depot? I typically pick up all my small quantity network supplies there these days. The one time I had to get a bunch of connectors, I found a local electronics supply warehouse.

I've also seen some pretty big deals at CompGeeks for bundles of cable, connectors, a crimper, and a tester. From what I've read the cable isn't the best quality, but it's super cheap usually.

Go to an electrical supply store, you should be able to buy them by the shovelful for cheap. Even larger computer stores with component selections like Micro Center or Frys aren't too bad - you should be able to find packs of 100 for less than $15.

I was going to say Microcenter if you have one in your area or Home Depot.
