Your best game save names ...

Many games allow you to select your own names for a saved gamepoint; I like to be (semi/delusionally) creative.
What are some of the most creative/off-the-wall that you have been inspired to create?

Here's one that is fairly recent just to get things started:
Game: Vampire Bloodlines
Save: Museum
Name: Eine Kleine Nacht Museum

(level 1)

1 alpha
1 bravo
1 charlie
1 delta
etc

(level 2)

2 alpha
2 bravo

(level 14)
14 alpha
14 bravo

I guess I'm not imaginative enough for this thread.

My typical save game list will look something like this (no lie):

1. Mission One
2. Oh shit I'm going to die
3. Mission Two
4. Hallway With the Midget Dudes
5. Yep I'm Dead
6. Mission Five
7. I Will Punch My Fist Through This Computer

2) Do it right this time
3) Throwing the bomb
4) what
5) I hate my life.
6) I'm going to rip his eyes out and piss in the socket.

Usually I go with boring things like Save1, Save2, etc.

Sometimes if I am in a really hopeless situation and pissed off about it I will call the save "Doy" and then this can go into subsets like "Doy 1" and "Doy 2."

'your pants'

Then when I go back to the save I get to

'load your pants'

I'm a lot more juvenile than most would think.

Once I was really adventurous and went straight from I to III. Or was that stupid? Such a fine line...

And other various random mashings of the keyboard.

If it's an action game, I save based on where I'm at, or what I've just done like this: After second boss, or Fueling Station.

If it's an adventure game that is divided into days or time block (GK series), I save like: First, Second, Third, Third trying something stupid, Fourth, Fifth, etc.

I'm currently playing my 28th game of Civ3 Rise and Rule. I know because my save is called 0000028. Yes, I often use 8.3 filenames; you never know when DOS might make a comeback (I'm still not convinced that this newfangled "Windows" thing is going to catch on). In strategy games I usually keep overwriting one save, because reverting to previous gamestates is cheating.

In storyline games I use descriptive names. I usually keep overwriting the same small set. In X-com, I used:

LOADME NEXT
Safe at home
Heading out
Start tactical
During tactical
Banged up
Base defense
Terror site
Going to Cydonia
During Cydonia

Before quitting each day, my last save was always LOADME NEXT.

I just realized that I haven't played a game where I have gotten to name my saves in a while. These days, I have mostly been playing FPS-like games and rely mostly on prudent quicksaves with an occasional hard save before some major-looking stretch.

My names tend to be fairly pedestrain though. E.g.:

starting out
rested
doing mines
finished mines heading to mountains
before dragon
got Dynaheir need to sell stuff

I'm in the boring camp:

Jason1
Jason2
Jason3
Jason4

Any time I need to go past 4 I just start back again at 1. This leads to the fun "which save am I on" mini-game, which is somewhat entertaining.

i always name my first save "begin"

yay for originality!
i will admit though that i really wish i named my saves more clearly. going back to a specific part of a game can be very difficult.

For the longest time I would use my name followed by a number. Which is really funny because I'm the only one that uses my computer.

Now I just use completely random titles -- unless there isn't a time / date stamp on the save.

I will say that whenever I host a LAN or online Game Server, I always name it "Sexual Chocolate" - which cracks me up every time.

I've had quite a few "F U's" spelled out on hard part of games. Plenty of "Dead.." "I'm dead" "Going to die" as well.

Sometimes include short description (one or two words) of area so i can just glance at the names to see where they are.

To remind me that I play for fun in my free time (when I get frustrated before of some random spanning of monsters or the lack of hitzones..)

By the way: Every shooter in which a human opponent doesn't drop dead after a clear headshot should be banned from retail!!!
Ok I calm down now...

I think when I played Gothic 2 last year was the last time I got to name saves.

Always starts with
First Game

then I save where I am or what I'm doing

In Khorinis
Becoming a mercenary

If I'm out exploring and get somewhere unsafe that I might not make it back from but still wanna save

Maybe

That's my stategy.

Somehow I always stick to the same ones for pretty much every game:

Starting
Hmmmm
Attack
Shit

Then I either sort of try and make use of them in a logical way (RTS), or I cycle through them randomly (FPS). I remember that I made a 'Last Save' one for Age of Wonders 2: Shadow Magic since it sorted its save game list alphabetically, and I didn't want to go looking for my most recent save the next day.

I tend to call saves "Joblo" (for Joe Blow, get it?), and thus Joblo1, Joblo2 etc.. Once in a while I'll save before trying something sort of risky and I'll call it "exp" for "experiment". Alas, nothing nearly as creative as Eine kleine Nacht Museum. (German-language nitpick: it would need to be "Ein kleines Nachtmuseum" hehe  )

Time to eat
Low health
Got ammo

Wait, no one told me I'm supposed to be making clever save game names!

I typically use Tim as my start, later as my general save, and things such as crap, shit, wow, end, etc which describe my mood or state of game.

That's actually quite funny, especially given that a large number of games will actually bring up a window that says "Loading Your Pants..."

I'm a save often kinda player and use different save names based on the game type.

RPG
Jan 2 In dungeon 1
Jan 3 Stuck in Temple
Jan 9 Find Store asap

City Builders, like Zues for example (which play a lot)
Mission One
Mission One Ctd
Mission One Ctd 2
Mission One Almost Done

FPS
Mlaw 1
Mlaw 2
Mlaw 2 Stuck

I also make frequent use of the Quick Save before attempting something I'm unsure of. For example, entering an area I'm pretty sure I shouldn't, plunking down a lot of buildings in an attempt to fix something or I've FINALLY defeated a bunch-o baddies and DO NOT want to fight them again.
