The sale is only for the Windows version, not the mac. I was hoping the price would come down on the mac version.

Hehe, well, I'd normally agree with you but I was spoiled by Planetside when UT2004 came out and thought it was merely "meh". I decided to hold off until it hit the bargain bin at which time my local buds would get it too. :)

FYI, I've had UT (original) on all my PC's since '99 so that must count for something. :P BUt I always felt like Ut2004 was sort of a "poor man's PLanetside".

I hearby draft a bill to outlaw hitbyambulance.
Halo, in my eyes, was, well, horrible. I could see how somebody COULD like it, but I didn't in the least.

second that. Not much more fun gaming wise than playing UT2004 with the OO fellas on zaxxon's server.

i've been playing the UT2K4 online with the people here, and i just get really bored of it, really fast... maybe it's cuz it's the same maps/mutators over and over (Conduit/Instagib) with the bots on really hard difficulty...

but really, HALO online is a lot of fun. it's really too bad i can't seem to get anyone i know to play it ('oh i've played it on Xbox..' NO! it's not the same!!)...

:o

All the same maps? ;) You, sir, need to give UT another chance.

Halo was 'meh'. UT2004 is the multiplayer FPS utopia.

At $14.99, it really should be illegal to be a gamer and not own it. Hell, I think I'll pick up another copy...

[Edit - 2 copies ordered! 1 for a friend, and another for the next Lan party--someone always shows up without it...]

Oh, we still play all the time. We're currently running a 12-man 1v1 lMS season, but those matches only take up about 20-30 min/week, so we're still holding regular matches, as well. If you post in our thread over in the multiplayer forum with your planned time to be on the server, there's a good chance that at least a few people will join you. We've still got about 15-20 people that I would consider 'regulars' to some extent. Please join us, and that'll be one more!
