Hehe, well, I'd normally agree with you but I was spoiled by Planetside when UT2004 came out and thought it was merely "meh". I decided to hold off until it hit the bargain bin at which time my local buds would get it too.Eduardo X wrote:It should be illegal to have a PC and not own that game.

FYI, I've had UT (original) on all my PC's since '99 so that must count for something.

Halo, in my eyes, was, well, horrible. I could see how somebody COULD like it, but I didn't in the least.

second that. Not much more fun gaming wise than playing UT2004 with the OO fellas on zaxxon's server.Eduardo X wrote:I hearby draft a bill to outlaw hitbyambulance.hitbyambulance wrote:the UT series is well-supported and highly polished... but it's just not that much fun as say... Halo PC...

i've been playing the UT2K4 online with the people here, and i just get really bored of it, really fast... maybe it's cuz it's the same maps/mutators over and over (Conduit/Instagib) with the bots on really hard difficulty...
but really, HALO online is a lot of fun. it's really too bad i can't seem to get anyone i know to play it ('oh i've played it on Xbox..' NO! it's not the same!!)...

All the same maps?

Halo was 'meh'. UT2004 is the multiplayer FPS utopia.
At $14.99, it really should be illegal to be a gamer and not own it. Hell, I think I'll pick up another copy...
[Edit - 2 copies ordered! 1 for a friend, and another for the next Lan party--someone always shows up without it...]

Oh, we still play all the time. We're currently running a 12-man 1v1 lMS season, but those matches only take up about 20-30 min/week, so we're still holding regular matches, as well. If you post in our thread over in the multiplayer forum with your planned time to be on the server, there's a good chance that at least a few people will join you. We've still got about 15-20 people that I would consider 'regulars' to some extent. Please join us, and that'll be one more!Goldchamp wrote:Hey Zaxx reading this thread really makes me wanna play again, do people stll play often on your server or just tourneys?
