Program to type on Adobe PDFs?
There a program that you can use to type onto PDF applications and forms before you print them out? I've used Adobe llustrator in the past, but it's very cumbersome.

I have looked and looked and looked for a free program out there that would let me do that but no luck.
Yet another shameless plug..for something

Have you tried the ANNOTATE function in PDF Reader?

I found a program that sets up a fake printer, you send the pdf to that printer and it opens a Word-esque editor and lets you enter text without messing up the original formating.
I uninstalled it and deleted the setup files after I noticed it placed DEMO VERSION blah blah text across the final print and costs $250.
Think I'll stick to my copy of Illustrator, though some of the newer pdfs contain fonts that my old version doesnt support.

i'm currently using open office it will export to pdf but does not open them, i've tryed. but you could try an end around way to do it in that: print a copy of the document scan it back in to the system as a picture or preferably a text file with pictures then use a word program to type in what you want. or if as a picture use paint to add text in the appropriate locations. i've done this a couple of times and got pretty good results, though the way using paint can be a pain to get just right so it looks like you entered it and things aren't at angels with your name going into the line above or below it.
