My ancient Gateway is developing cracks on hinge area on the top(non- lcd side). What can I use to patch this thing up for the next couple or six months?
Super glue? Airplane glue? Should I just sniff the glue out of a bag and ignore the cracks?
Replacement is not an option at the moment.

Sorry I missed this one. I'd recommend a plastic safe epoxy. Some epoxies are so volitile that they'll actually make the surrounding plastic more brittle, so make sure you get one that says it's safe to use on plastic. You could go cheap and use model glue, but I'd prefer something that's thicker and less likely to seep into places where it wouldn't be nice to have glue.
