Tracking a bad guy

Post by sgoldj »

This question can go under this forum or EBG. This is my best guess.

We were victim of internet theft this weekend. Debit card number stolen, Bankaccount drained.

The perpetrator bought a internet domain (Easycgi.com), Registration (regnow.com) and purchases from Kitbag.com.

I would like to trace the person and do nasty stuff to them. I have a name, "Nick Martino", probably false, and a ip trace that sets the person in the UAE, also probably spoofed.

Police report has been done, Bank Notified. Once the Bank starts investigation, we will try to get an invoice w/delivery address from Kitbag.

Any suggestion on how to go about tracking this joker?

Getting the invoice probably won't work because it is probably a fake name going to a PO box. Worth a try tho, doubt somebody who could pull this off would make such a stupid mistake. Where was the bank account drained to?

What were the purchases from kitbag. Something delivered? To where? These things can be tough.

Hopefully your credit/debit cards protection can help and will professionally investigate. It is hard to uncover the info you need without warrants etc. This is best pursued by the professionals.

I agree with Rip on this one. Hopefully they'll take care of the guy. But I do have this buddy of mine over at NSA....

All joking aside though, I hope he/she gets to enjoy some time in a pound-me-in-the-ass prision.

If it's a po box, the renter would have to have a photo id with a street address, in order to rent the box. If it's a USPS po box, contact the Postal Inspectors in your area.
