these are probably the best PC speakers available, and go for $292 shipped at Newegg, and more at other places.

Damn, thanks for this thread. I was thinking about getting these speakers as I saw them featured in a PC Gamer, but the $500 price tag was too much. I can do $300 though. Thanks again!
