Effective today, we're making some changes in Rip's account(s). Rip has created a new account (ooRip) from which he will be performing his administrative duties, and we will be making his main Rip account a non-admin account. This will have the effect of allowing those who want to place Rip on an ignore list to do so, while still permitting him to do technical admin things around the forums.

A quick reminder here that it is considered poor form to publicly announce that you are putting someone on an ignore list. Feel free to do it, but you don't need to make a show out of it.

Seems strange to me but I dont watch drama

I just hope this makes everyone happy.

Seems like a smart way to handle it. I only hope that the people who entertain me by butting heads with Rip on a daily basis don't decide to ignore him and deprive me of the drama.

He's still a moderator for the Meta Forum which prevents adding him to the ignore list.

I'm not putting Rip on my ignore list. But I like the idea that I can if I want!

I don't check this forum often, but do you know how I noticed the change?

In R&P, every time I saw the thread:

I would read it as "Ben Carson RIP" and get all excited that this imbecile had in some way been removed from candidacy. Without the "Rip" highlighted in red, though, my brain doesn't process it quite the same way.
