i recently got mobile service with FreedomPop, and i originally used a Pantech Burst (an ex-test phone from my old place of employ) with it. the battery only lasted about 40 minutes from a full charge, so i switched to a Samsung Galaxy SII (also an ex-test phone). again, the battery was not great, lasting about three hours. i bought a replacement battery on eBay and this one only lasts seven hours idle, or about an hour in active usage.... this might have been new-old stock.
does anyone have an Android 4.X+ phone they want to get rid of that has decent battery life. or relatively recent batteries available for purchase? alternatively i'd accept a good SII or Burst battery.

Re: looking for GSM phone
i got a Samsung Galaxy SIII from someone at work, but the microphone is defective. i have to give that one back and am now looking again. same requirements as above, but much prefer Android over iPhone (and i have to scratch OS 4.x. - needs to be at least OS 5.x).
