Planescape Torment for $1

Post by Tim Maynard »

Due to some ongoing roadwork near my home I had to take a detour thru a strip mall parking lot. I decided to stop in at the Save-a-Lot store which is a discount grocery store. In the middle of the store they now have a Dollar section. I didn't expect to find much but imagine my suprise when I found copies of Planescape Torment. I sold my copy a few years back and since I never finished it I picked up a copy. If you have a Save-a-Lot in your area it might be worth a look.

I should point out this was the dual pack version of Planescape Torment so it also comes with Soulbringer. They had two other dual packs but I don't remember what they were. One had to do with Egypt and one had a boat racing game.

If you pick up one of those for me, I'll gladly trade you something for it. I've been looking for the 2CD version of Torment.

Soulbringer is not a half-bad game in its own right. It's no Planescape Torment, but I'd say it's worth at least 13 cents out of that dollar. :)

The local Save-a-Lot store indeed had some PC games for $1 Clearance but they were all older "educational" titles. I shuddered involuntarily and left. But I'll be back from time to time now that I know it's possible to find other titles.
